KHS‐Cnd peptide is able to impair biofilm formation and disaggregate mature biofilms in Acinetobacter baumannii clinical isolates. Differences in extracellular metabolites reflect changes in biofilm metabolism due to KHS‐Cnd treatment. Among the differentially represented extracellular metabolites upon KHS‐Cnd treatment, the significantly altered ...

Small size phase shifter on compact structures
Abstract This article is devoted to the description of a miniature phase shifter of the reflective type. Its dimensions were reduced with the help of compact structures – they were replaced by structures, both quarter-wave segments and plug-in plumes allowing changing the phase at the output.

KLK7, a tissue kallikrein‐related peptidase, is elevated in advanced colorectal cancer and associated with shorter survival. High KLK7 levels in ascites correlate with peritoneal metastasis. In mice, KLK7 overexpression increases metastasis. In vitro, KLK7 enhances cancer cell proliferation, migration, adhesion, and spheroid formation, driving ...

Further constraining galaxy evolution models through the Size Function of SDSS Early-type galaxies [PDF]
We discuss how the effective radius Phi(Re) function (ERF) recently worked out by Bernardi et al. (2009) represents a new testbed to improve the current understanding of Semi-analytic Models of Galaxy formation.

Aged human bmMSCs are seeded in the scaffold. Osteoblastic induction can slightly increase cell's bone‐forming activity to produce bone‐like tissues, shown as the sporadic xylenol orange‐stained spots (the lower left image). Notably, pioglitazone plus EGCG co‐treatment dramatically increases cell's bone‐forming activity and bone‐like tissue production (

Portable Low‐Field Magnetic Resonance Imaging in People With Human Immunodeficiency Virus
ABSTRACT Objective The aging population of people with HIV (PWH) raises heightened concerns regarding accelerated aging and dementia. Portable, low‐field MRI (LF‐MRI) is an innovative technology that could enhance access and facilitate routine monitoring of PWH.

Wideband and Compact Wilkinson Power Divider Utilizing Series Delta-Stub and Folded Stepped-Impedance Transmission Line [PDF]
In this paper, a Wilkinson power divider is modified using four-series delta-stub and folded stepped-impedance transmission line (FSITL) in order to achieve a reduced circuit size of 84% and fractional bandwidth of 116%.

Design of an omnidirectional antenna with a compact size
An omnidirectional antenna with a compact size is presented. The diameter of the proposed antenna is 100 mm and the height is ∼0.1λ(L) (12 mm). It consists of two dipoles and four shorting pins.
