Prospects of Electric Field Control in Perpendicular Magnetic Tunnel Junctions and Emerging 2D Spintronics for Ultralow Energy Memory and Logic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electric control of magnetic tunnel junctions offers a path to drastically reduce the energy requirements of the device. Electric field control of magnetization can be realized in a multitude of ways. These mechanisms can be integrated into existing spintronic devices to further reduce the operational energy.

Cohomology with compact supports for q-complete spaces.

open access: yesJournal für die reine und angewandte Mathematik (Crelles Journal), 1993
It is proved that if \(X\) is a \(q\)-complete \(n\)-dimensional complex space which is a locally set-theoretically complete intersection, then \(H_ c^ i(X;Z)=0\) if ...

Kinetic Insights into Precursor‐Assisted Soft Sphere Close Packing Revealed by In Situ GISAXS with Implications for Gas Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The versatile precursor‐assisted soft sphere close packing during slot‐die coating is investigated with in situ X‐ray scattering. The soft crystallization pathways towards a close packing involve multistep structural transitions such as surface nucleation, in‐plane, and out‐of‐plane crystallization.

Solutions with expanding compact support of saturated Schrodinger equations: self-similar solutions

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations
We prove the existence of solutions $u(t,x)$ of the Schrodinger equation with a saturation nonlinear term $(u/|u|)$ having compact support, for each $t>0$, that expands with a growth law of the type $C\sqrt{t}$.

The Influence of Annealing on the Sb Layer in the Synthesis of [001]‐Oriented Sb2Se3 Film for Photoelectrochemical Hydrogen Gas Generation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
[001]‐oriented Sb2Se3 film with improved crystallinity and adjusted composition is achieved via a new thermal treatment approach consisting of preliminary annealing of the Sb layer before its selenization. The findings of this work demonstrate enhanced charge carriers' transportation, a stable performance, and an improvement of H2 generation from ...

On Daniell integrals and compact supports

open access: yes, 1995
It is proved that if \(\mu\) is a bounded linear form on the vector lattice of all real continuous functions on a completely regular Suslin space, then \(\mu^+\) and \(\mu^-\) are Daniell integrals if and only if the finite signed Radon measure corresponding to \(\mu\) has compact support.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.
