Compact support Thin Plate Spline algorithm

Journal of Electronics (China), 2007
Common tools based on landmarks in medical image elastic registration are Thin Plate Spline (TPS) and Compact Support Radial Basis Function (CSRBF). TPS forces the corresponding landmarks to exactly match each other and minimizes the bending energy of the whole image.

Compaction - A Soliton with Compact Support

1994
Compacton is a soliton with a compact support. Nonlinear dispersion plays a crucial role in its formation The simplest model to see nonlinear dispersion, in action is given by a KdV-like equation, the K(m, n); u t + (u m ) x + (u n ) xxx = 0, m, n > 1. The compactons are solitary wave solutions of these equations.

Compact Fuzzy Multiclass Support Vector Machines

2008 Fourth International Conference on Natural Computation, 2008
The fuzzy support vector machines (FSVMs) can be used to deal with multiclass classification problems where the key issue is to solve a quadratic programming problem. This paper introduces a new fuzzy multiclass support vector machines (FMSVMs) based on compact description of data, which extends the exiting support vector machine method to the case of ...

Cohomology with Compact Support

1986
Let x denote a locally compact space, i.e. a Hausdorff topological space in which every point has a compact neighbourhood. Let us prove two simple facts about locally compact spaces.

Compact supported endographs and fuzzy sets

Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 1980
Abstract A metric is defined on a space of functions from a locally compact metric space X into the unit interval I in terms of the Hausdorff metric distance between their compact supported endographs in X × I . Convergence in this metric is shown to be equivalent to the conjunction of the Hausdorff metric convergence of supports in X and ...
