Spectral analysis of magnetic Laplacians on conformally cusp manifolds
We consider an open manifold which is the interior of a compact manifold with boundary. Assuming gauge invariance, we classify magnetic fields with compact support into being trapping or non-trapping.

Radial functions on compact support [PDF]
In this paper, radial basis functions that are compactly supported and give rise to positive definite interpolation matrices for scattered data are discussed. They are related to the well-known thin plate spline radial functions which are highly useful in applications for gridfree approximation methods.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Self-similar solutions with compactly supported profile of some nonlinear Schrodinger equations
``Sharp localized'' solutions (i.e. with compact support for each given time t) of a singular nonlinear type Schr\"odinger equation in the whole space $\mathbb{R}^N$ are constructed here under the assumption that they have a self-similar structure. It

Charged reflecting stars supporting charged massive scalar field configurations
The recently published no-hair theorems of Hod, Bhattacharjee, and Sarkar have revealed the intriguing fact that horizonless compact reflecting stars cannot support spatially regular configurations made of scalar, vector and tensor fields. In the present

Signature-based Tree for Finding Frequent Itemsets
The efficiency of a data mining process depends on the data structure used to find frequent itemsets. Two approaches are possible: use the original transaction dataset or transform it into another more compact structure.

A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Compact support of spherically symmetric equilibria in non-relativistic and relativistic galactic dynamics [PDF]
Equilibrium states in galactic dynamics can be described as stationary solutions of the Vlasov–Poisson system, which is the non-relativistic case, or of the Vlasov–Einstein system, which is the relativistic case.

Numerical simulation and compact modeling of low voltage pentacene based OTFTs
As organic thin film transistors (OTFTs) are poised to play a key role in flexible and low-cost electronic applications, there is a need of device modeling to support technology optimization and circuit design.

Stratification and duality for homotopical groups
We generalize Quillen's $F$-isomorphism theorem, Quillen's stratification theorem, the stable transfer, and the finite generation of cohomology rings from finite groups to homotopical groups.
