Effect of an Oxy-Sulphide Inoculant Enhancer on Graphite Parameters in the Mould Inoculated Compacted Graphite Cast Iron

open access: yesThe Annals of “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati. Fascicle IX, Metallurgy and Materials Science, 2014
In compacted/vermicular graphite cast iron production, inoculation is applied to limit the formation of carbides, but usually this treatment also promotes nodular graphite with improved nodularity.

Hierarchical Assembly of Carbon Dots with Full‐Solar‐Spectrum Absorption for Solar Energy Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hierarchical assemblies of carbon dots are constructed, achieving full‐solar‐spectrum absorption, superior photothermal properties, and good hydrophilicity. These assemblies can be in situ prepared on a fabric, which exhibits good performance for applications in solar‐driven interfacial water evaporation and electricity generation.

Thermal and Magnetic Properties of Nanostructured Ferrimagnetic Composites with Graphene - Graphite Fillers [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials and Design, 118, 75 (2017), 2016
We report the results of an experimental study of thermal and magnetic properties of nanostructured ferrimagnetic iron oxide composites with graphene and graphite fillers synthesized via the current activated pressure assisted densification. The thermal conductivity was measured using the laser-flash and transient plane source techniques.

Vibration‐Induced Stabilization of Lithium Anodes: Synergistic Effects of Morphological and SEI Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study, for the first time, highlights the marvelous effect of mechanical vibration on the performance of lithium metal batteries. The authors demonstrate that vibration enhances the performance of lithium metal anodes through a synergistic effect: surface flattening at the macroscale and the formation of an interfacial layer that facilitates fast ...
