Ultrasonic Characteristics of Degraded Compacted Graphite Iron from 873 to 1,273 K

The study investigates the oxidation resistance of MgO‐C refractories enhanced with calcium magnesium aluminate (CMA) aggregates, metallic aluminum, and Carbores P from 800 to 1600 °C. CMA retains resistance up to 1200 °C but decreases above. Carbores P protects up to 1000 °C, while metallic aluminum shows the highest resistance across the range.

A novel X1CrCuNiN 18‐9‐6 stainless steel is studied. The electrode inert gas atomization process is applied to produce a steel powder with a significantly increased Cu content of 9 wt%. After atomization micrometer‐sized copper precipitates are formed.
