Methanogen Biocathode Microbial Fuel Cell System That Simultaneously Achieves Cattle‐Barn Wastewater Treatment and Carbon Dioxide Utilization

The innovative microbial fuel cell (MFC) design utilizing an oak white charcoal cathode and HNO3‐treated carbon‐felt anode without 2‐bromoethanesulfonic acid (BES) achieves a power density of 5.5 mW m−2 and Coulombic efficiency of 7.3%, which is superior to the performance of BES‐treated MFCs.
