Self‐Similar Blowup for the Cubic Schrödinger Equation

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, Volume 79, Issue 8, Page 1831-1918, August 2026.
ABSTRACT We give a rigorous proof for the existence of a finite‐energy, self‐similar solution to the focusing cubic Schrödinger equation in three spatial dimensions. The proof is computer‐assisted and relies on a fixed point argument that shows the existence of a solution in the vicinity of a numerically constructed approximation.

Invariant Measure and Universality of the 2D Yang–Mills Langevin Dynamic

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, Volume 79, Issue 8, Page 1973-2102, August 2026.
ABSTRACT We prove that the Yang–Mills (YM) measure for the trivial principal bundle over the two‐dimensional torus, with any connected, compact structure group, is invariant for the associated renormalised Langevin dynamic. Our argument relies on a combination of regularity structures, lattice gauge‐fixing and Bourgain's method for invariant measures ...

New Generalised Semi‐Analytical Approach for the Multidimensional Nonlinear Collisional Fragmentation Equations

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, Volume 98, Issue 8, Page 980-999, August 2026.
This work aims to develop a generalised and efficient semi‐analytical method that combines the Laplace decomposition method with Pade approximation (LDMPA) to solve multidimensional nonlinear integro‐partial differential equation. For a one‐dimension case, explicit (closed‐form) solutions for the number density functions are derived for the first time.

Extrapolation of compactness on Banach function spaces [PDF]

open access: yes
We prove an extrapolation of compactness theorem for operators on Banach function spaces satisfying certain convexity and concavity conditions. In particular, we show that the boundedness of an operator $T$ in the weighted Lebesgue scale and the ...

Compactness in standard spaces

open access: yes, 2022

Banach Spaces and Weak and Weak* Topologies [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
This paper examines several questions regarding Banach spaces, completeness and compactness of Banach spaces, dual spaces and weak and weak* topologies. Examples of completeness and isometries are given using the c₀ and ᴰ spaces.

On the defect of compactness in Banach spaces

open access: yes, 2015
Concentration compactness methods improve convergence for bounded sequences in Banach spaces beyond the weak-star convergence provided by the Banach-Alaoglu theorem.

Supporting weakly Pareto optimal allocations in infinite dimensional nonconvex economies [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper, we prove a new version of the Second Welfare Theorem for economies with a finite number of agents and an infinite number of commodities, when the preference correspondences are not convex-valued and/or when the total production set is not ...

Rellich-type Discrete Compactness for Some Discontinuous Galerkin FEM [PDF]

open access: yes
We deduce discrete compactness of Rellich type for some discontinuous Galerkin finite element methods (DGFEM) including hybrid ones, under fairly general settings on the triangulations and the finite element spaces.
