Collusive Compensation Schemes Aided by Algorithms [PDF]
Sophisticated collusive compensation schemes such as assigning future market shares or direct transfers are frequently observed in detected cartels. We show formally why these schemes are useful for dampening deviation incentives when colluding firms are temporary asymmetric.

Tight Interval Inclusions with Compensated Algorithms [PDF]
Compensated algorithms consist in computing the rounding errors of individual operations and then adding them later on to the computed result. This makes it possible to increase the accuracy of the computed result efficiently. Computing the rounding error of an individual operation is possible through the use of a so-called error-free transformation .

Reversible Watermarking Algorithm with Distortion Compensation [PDF]
Abstract A novel reversible watermarking algorithm with two-stage data hiding strategy is presented in this paper. The core idea is two-stage data hiding (i.e., hiding data twice in a pixel of a cell), where the distortion after the first stage of embedding can be rarely removed, mostly reduced, or hardly increased after the second stage.

Siamese Network Tracking Algorithm Based on Compensated Attention Mechanism [PDF]
To tackle prevalent challenges in visual object tracking, including variations in target size, motion blur, occlusion, and interference from similar objects, the Compensatory Dual Attention Mechanism (CDAM)-Siam was introduced.

Numerical Stability of Lanczos Methods [PDF]
The Lanczos algorithm for matrix tridiagonalisation suffers from strong numerical instability in finite precision arithmetic when applied to evaluate matrix eigenvalues. The mechanism by which this instability arises is well documented in the literature.

Compensated Evaluation of Tensor Product Surfaces in CAGD
In computer-aided geometric design, a polynomial surface is usually represented in Bézier form. The usual form of evaluating such a surface is by using an extension of the de Casteljau algorithm. Using error-free transformations, a compensated version of

Position estimation delays in signal injection-based sensorless PMSM drives [PDF]
The causes of position estimation delays and their effects on the sensorless control of permanent magnet synchronous motor drives are investigated. The position of a permanent magnet synchronous machine is estimated via the injection of high frequency ...

New Fault-Location Algorithm for Series-Compensated Double-Circuit Transmission Line
This paper proposes a new fault location algorithm to accurately locate the faults of series-compensated double-circuit transmission line and improve the stability of power system operation, which is not affected by fault types. The proposed algorithm is
