Design of All-Solid Dual-Concentric-Core Microstructure Fiber for Ultra-Broadband Dispersion Compensation

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
In this paper, the all-solid dual-concentric-core microstructure fiber (MSF) with ultra-broadband dispersion compensation characteristics is designed. The effects of microstructure fiber structure parameters on dispersion, phase-matching wavelength, and ...

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Statistical QoS provisioning for MTC networks under finite blocklength

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2018
This paper analyzes the effective capacity of delay-constrained machine-type communication (MTC) networks operating in the finite blocklength regime. First, we derive a closed-form mathematical approximation for the effective capacity in quasi-static ...

Design of a Feedback-Controlled Wireless Converter for Electric Vehicle Wireless Charging Applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Electric vehicles (EVs) have played an important role in the modern transporta-tion system in recent years. However, current generations of EVs face unsolved drawbacks such as short driving range, long charging time, and high cost due to expensive ...

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Recent Advancements in Technologies, Applications, and Regulations of Near-Field Wireless Power Transfer

open access: yesIEEE Access
Near-field wireless power transfer enables energy transfer via electromagnetic coupling between a power source and a receiver over short distances. This technology improves user convenience and autonomy in both low-power and high-power applications, such

Stability Analysis of a Line Voltage using FACTS Devices [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
The analysis of voltage stability in power system networks is outlined in this document. The Fast Voltage Stability Index (FVSI) is employed to evaluate the condition of the power lines under both normal and critical load situations.

Analysis of four-coil magnetic resonance coupling wireless power transfer system based on LCC-SSS compensation network

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2023
The classical four-coil magnetic resonance coupling wireless power transfer (MRC-WPT) system usually uses a Series-Series-Series-Series (SSSS) compensation network, while its input series resistance and load resistance are designed approximately. I It is

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

An optimal strategy for reactive power compensation device allocation and voltage optimization in active distribution networks

open access: yesZhejiang dianli
Current practices for allocating reactive power compensation devices often neglect the comprehensive economic performance arising from the coordinated operation of these devices with other dispatchable resources in active distribution networks (ADNs). To
