Key-Pose Prediction in Cyclic Human Motion [PDF]
In this paper we study the problem of estimating innercyclic time intervals within repetitive motion sequences of top-class swimmers in a swimming channel. Interval limits are given by temporal occurrences of key-poses, i.e.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Preliminary attempt to develop a path-flow analysis model for swimming performance in children [PDF]
The goal of competitive swimming is to travel the event distance as fast as possible. The identification of the parameters that predict swimming performances is one of the main aims of the swimming “science” community.

ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

Abnormal electrocardiographic findings in athletes: Correlation with intensity of sport and level of competition. [PDF]
INTRODUCTION: Athletes can exhibit abnormal electrocardiogram (ECG) phenotypes that require further evaluation prior to competition. These are apparently more prevalent in high-intensity endurance sports.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

The role of cross-training in swim-related injuries in master’s swimmers [PDF]
Orthopedic injuries often interfere with Masters athletes’ pursuit of better performance and might place economic burden on these athletes. PURPOSE: We determined if the incidence of injuries increases with age and the economic burden associated with ...
