Dissipative systems and complementarity conditions
Proceedings of the 37th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (Cat. No.98CH36171), 2002In this paper existence and uniqueness of solutions to linear complementarity systems (LCS) are considered. Complementarity systems are systems that are composed of differential equations, inequalities and switching logic. These systems can therefore be seen as a subclass of hybrid dynamical systems.

Complementarity problems in linear complementarity systems
Proceedings of the 1998 American Control Conference. ACC (IEEE Cat. No.98CH36207), 1998Complementarity systems are described by differential and algebraic equations and inequalities similar to those appearing in the linear complementarity problem (LCP) of mathematical programming. Typical examples of such systems include mechanical systems subject to unilateral constraints, electrical networks with diodes, processes subject to relays and/

Logics of Complementarity in Information Systems
MLQ, 2000Summary: Each information system (or data table) leads to a hierarchy of binary relations on the object set in a natural way; these relational systems can serve as frames for the semantics of modal logics. While relations of indiscernibility and their logics have been frequently studied, the situation in the case of relations which distinguish objects ...

Mode Selection in Linear Complementarity Systems
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1998Abstract In this paper, the object of study is the class of 'linear complementarity systems' given by differential equations and inequalities similar as in the Linear Complementarity Problem of mathematical programming. In the description of the evolution of such systems, a key role is played by the set of inequalities that hold with equality.

Complementarity Constraints for Nonlinear Systems
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1995Abstract This paper develops complementarity constraints for nonlinear feedback control systems with additive output disturbances and sensor noise, and for nonlinear filtering in the presence of process noise and additive measurement noise. In the control case, the complementarity constraint is the nonlinear counterpart of the well known fact in ...
