In this paper, the effects of the current distribution on the complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) are presented. The CSRR is etched off on the ground plane to provide dual-stopband characteristics over the desired frequency range. The dual-stopband characteristics can be determined by the dimensions of the CSRR.

Dual and triple band rectangular patch antenna using complementary split ring resonator (CSRR)
2015 IEEE Applied Electromagnetics Conference (AEMC), 2015This paper presents the design of a multiband microstrip patch antenna based on complementary split ring resonator (CSRR). Multiple bands are achieved by etching CSRR in the ground plane of a conventional rectangular patch antenna, achieving a miniaturization of the conventional antenna.

2017 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Workshop Series on Advanced Materials and Processes for RF and THz Applications (IMWS-AMP), 2017
This paper presents a method to estimate the complex permittivity of liquids. The sensor consists of an embedded microstrip line with a complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) etched in the ground plane, beneath the conductor strip. A liquid container, surrounding the CSRR, is added to the structure in order to load the sensing element (CSRR) with ...

A SIW filter with square complementary split-ring resonators (CSRRs)
2017 USNC-URSI Radio Science Meeting (Joint with AP-S Symposium), 2017A substrate integrated waveguide filter with two reversely arranged square complementary split-ring resonators (CSRRs) etched on the SIW surface is presented in this paper. The proposed filter allow the implementation of a forward-wave passband propagating below the characteristic cutoff frequency of the substrate integrated waveguide. The circuit area

Microstrip line periodically loaded with split-ring resonators (SRRs) and complementary split-ring resonators (CSRRs) is designed. By utilizing the CSRRs/gaps and SRRs/inductances combinations, two passbands are observed. Because of the negative permeability offered by SRRs and series capacitances, the negative permittivity offered by CSRRs and shunt ...

Circular Complementary Split Ring Resonators (CSRR) based SIW BPF
2019 Second International Conference on Advanced Computational and Communication Paradigms (ICACCP), 2019Design of Full-Mode Substrate Integrated Waveguide (FMSIW) Band-pass Filter using circular complementary split ring resonators is presented in this paper. CSRR structures are introduced over planar SIW section to obtain band pass properties. CSRR structures are studied and their effects over the passband is presented.

The studies on coupling characteristics of microstrip complementary split ring resonators (CSRRs)
2008 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology, 2008The coupling characteristics of three typical coupling structures for double CSRRs are studied in this paper firstly. One CSRR can couple to the other through electric coupling, magnetic coupling and mixed electromagnetic coupling respectively.

Left-handed microstrip delay line implemented by complementary split ring resonators (CSRRs)
2009 Loughborough Antennas & Propagation Conference, 2009Left-handed microstrip delay lines implemented by Complementary Split Ring Resonators (CSRRs) have been designed, fabricated and tested. The measured results reveal that the left-handed microstrip CSRRs can realize much longer delay in time as compared to conventional transmission lines for the same lengths. In this paper, for the length of 96 mm, a 12-

Using Complementary Split Ring Resonators (CSRR) to Design Bandpass Waveguide Filters
2007 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference, 2007Split Ring Resonators (SRR) and Complementary Split Ring Resonators (CSRR) are widely used to simulate metamaterial elements. Such elements are arranged uniformly in a periodic configuration and behave as artificial materials with unusual properties. In this paper, CSRRs are used to design a bandpass waveguide filter in the X-band.

Complementary split rings resonators (CSRRs): Towards the miniaturization of microwave device design
Journal of Computational Electronics, 2006In this paper, it is demonstrated that complementary split rings resonators (CSRRs), a new type of planar resonators recently introduced by some of the authors, are key elements for the miniaturization of microwave devices implemented in planar technology, such as filters and diplexers.
