Unraveling the Electronic Structure of Silicon Vacancy Centers in 4H‐SiC

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The electronic structure of the silicon vacancy in 4H‐SiC is probed via transient absorption spectroscopy, uncovering previously inaccessible excited states of the quartet and doublet spin channels, including the V2' transition. In combination with theoretical analysis, a comprehensive picture of the electronic structure is established.

Stretchable complementary split-ring resonator using liquid metal and its application for cavity optomagnonics

open access: yesAIP Advances
Split-ring resonators (SRRs) and complementary split-ring resonators (CSRRs) are widely used in microwave devices. Considering its advantages of fluidity, high metallic conductivity, and extreme deformability, liquid metal is expected to enrich the ...

Application of RF-MEMS-Based Split Ring Resonators (SRRs) to the Implementation of Reconfigurable Stopband Filters : a Review

open access: yes, 2021
In this review paper, several strategies for the implementation of reconfigurable split ring resonators (SRRs) based on RF-MEMS switches are presented. Essentially three types of RF-MEMS combined with split rings are considered: (i) bridge-type RF-MEMS ...

Designed Lewis Acid–Base Passivation for High Performance Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Silicon's high cost and long energy payback time remain major barriers to the global expansion of solar power. In contrast, metal–halide perovskites offer abundant, solution‐processable absorbers, and have achieved efficiencies of 25%–30%, positioning them as strong competitors to silicon.

Compact Balanced Dual-and Tri-Band BPFs Based on Coupled Complementary Split-Ring Resonators (C-CSRR)

open access: yes, 2016
© 2016 IEEE. Two multi-band balanced bandpass filters (BPFs) are proposed by embedding multi-band coupled complementary split-ring resonators (C-CSRRs) into a balanced stepped-impedance microstrip-slotline transition structure.

Chiral Phase Change Nanomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates reversible, non‐volatile phase transitions in chiral Ge2${\rm Ge}_2$Sb2${\rm Sb}_2$Te5${\rm Te}_5$ (GST) nanohelices for high‐speed optical modulation of chirality and dynamic control of the state of polarization (SOP). The chiral nanostructures are fabricated using a highly directional, wafer‐scale physical vapor deposition ...

A Molecular Shielding Strategy to Develop Low Protein Binding, Renal Clearable Pan‐Cancer Near‐Infrared Probes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A molecular shielding strategy to convert “protein‐sticky” and “non‐tumor specific” clinical ICG dye, into a “low protein binding” and “tumor‐targeting” dye with prolonged blood circulation and renal clearance is described. These shielded ICGs demonstrate strong tumor accumulation and optimal tissue clearance, resulting in high tumor‐to‐background ...

Influence of Number of Split Rings on the Leaky Radiation of a Metamaterial Transmission Line based on Complementary Split Ring Resonators

open access: yes, 2012
This article discusses the influence of the number of concentric split rings on the radiation performances of a leaky wave antenna (LWA) created by a microstrip transmission line periodically loaded by series gaps and complementary split ring resonators (
