Electromagnetic modeling and design of a novel class of complementary split-ring resonators [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of RF and Microwave Computer-Aided Engineering, 2018
This research study reports the assessment of complementary split ring resonators based on Gielis transformation as basic elements for the design of high-performance microwave components in printed technology. From the electromagnetic simulation of said structures, suitable equivalent circuit models are extracted and analyzed.

Microstrip lowpass filter based on split ring and complementary split ring resonators

open access: yesMicrowave and Optical Technology Letters, 2012
AbstractA novel split ring and complementary split ring resonator is proposed in this letter. The proposed resonator can generate two notches without increasing the physical size. A microstrip lowpass filter (LPF) is designed based on the proposed resonator.

Compact wideband filter element-based on complementary split-ring resonators

open access: yesSPIE Proceedings, 2011
A double resonance defected ground structure is proposed as a filter element. The structure involves a transmission line loaded with complementary split ring resonators embedded in a dumbbell shape defected ground structure. By using a parametric study, it is demonstrated that the two resonance frequencies can be independently tuned.

Broadband Microwave Filters Based on Open Split Ring Resonators (OSRRs) and Open Complementary Split Ring Resonators (OCSRRs): Improved Models and Design Optimization

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2011
The paper is focused on the design of broadband bandpass filters at microwave frequencies. The proposed filters are based on a combination of open split ring resonators (OSRRs) and open complementary split ring resonators (OCSRRs) loaded in a host ...

Complementary Split-Ring Resonator With Improved Dielectric Spatial Resolution [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Sensors Journal, 2021
A nondestructive complementary split ring resonator (CSRR), working in the 0.5 to 6 GHz frequency range, is presented in this work. Three CSRR designs, on the same 5 mm by 5 mm footprint, with different internal dimensions were designed, fabricated, and measured. The results demonstrate a large shift in resonant frequency, up to 2.544 GHz, over a broad

A Dual-Band Non-destructive Dielectric Measurement Sensor Based on Complementary Split-Ring Resonator

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2021
A dual-band non-destructive dielectric constant sensor based on the complementary split ring resonators is presented. The resonators for both bands use the complementary split ring structure of different sizes.

Application of Complementary Split Ring Resonator for Hyperthermia

open access: yesJURNAL ILMU FISIKA | UNIVERSITAS ANDALAS, 2021
One of the most promising research for cancer therapy with less side effects is hyperthermia treatment using metamaterial. This treatment may stand independently or adjunct to other cancer treatments such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and others. Metamaterial may control the heating process needed and also the depth of metamaterial itself from the ...
