Material Characterization Using Complementary Split-Ring Resonators
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2012A microwave method based on complementary split-ring resonators (CSRRs) is proposed for dielectric characterization of planar materials. The technique presents advantages such as high measurement sensitivity and eliminates the extensive sample preparation procedure needed in resonance-based methods.

Fractal Geometries of Complementary Split-Ring Resonators
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2008Complementary split-ring resonators (CSRRs) are typically used as negative-permittivity particles in microstrip left-handed structures. In this paper, novel CSRRs that use a square Sierpinski fractal curve are proposed and studied in detail. It is shown that the application of fractal geometries results in significant miniaturization of the ...

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2005
In this paper, a new approach for the development of planar metamaterial structures is developed. For this purpose, split-ring resonators (SRRs) and complementary split-ring resonators (CSRRs) coupled to planar transmission lines are investigated. The electromagnetic behavior of these elements, as well as their coupling to the host transmission line ...

Complementary Split Ring Resonators Using Square Sierpinski Fractal Curves
2006 European Microwave Conference, 2006Split ring resonators and complementary split ring resonators are used in a left-handed media to obtain negative values of permeability and permittivity, respectively. In this paper, novel split ring geometry using square Sierpinski fractal curves is proposed, that reduces resonant frequency of the structure and achieves improved frequency selectivity ...

Microstrip Antenna optimization using split ring and complementary split ring resonator
2016 International Conference on Information Communication and Embedded Systems (ICICES), 2016Excellent Electromagnetic performance of Microstrip Antenna motivates researchers for its optimization. The manuscript suggests the technique to miniaturize patch antenna using Split Ring Resonator and Thin Wire Metamaterial. The Unit Cell of SRR and TW is inserted below the patch mounted on the air substrate.

A novel millimeter wave super lens using split-ring resonator and complementary split-ring resonator
2009 34th International Conference on Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz Waves, 2009We report a millimeter wave super lens based on the left-handed metamaterial using split-ring resonator (SRR) and complementary SRR (CSRR). The millimeter wave cannot propagate far away due to short wavelength. Therefore, the system for THz or millimeter wave band demands the lens to obtain strong focused signal from weak waves caused by scattering in ...

Microstrip line periodically loaded with split-ring resonators (SRRs) and complementary split-ring resonators (CSRRs) is designed. By utilizing the CSRRs/gaps and SRRs/inductances combinations, two passbands are observed. Because of the negative permeability offered by SRRs and series capacitances, the negative permittivity offered by CSRRs and shunt ...

A Microstrip Highpass Filter with Complementary Split Ring Resonators
PIERS Online, 2007An accurate equivalent circuit model for the microstrip line with a complementary split ring resonator (CSRR), and the parameter extraction method, are presented. A highpass filter with steep rejection is designed based on the model. The measurement results confirm the efficient analysis and design procedure and the validity of the highpass filter ...

Novel compact single complementary split ring resonator
2009 3rd IEEE International Symposium on Microwave, Antenna, Propagation and EMC Technologies for Wireless Communications, 2009A novel design of compact single complementary split ring resonator which is realized by loading a pair of narrow slots in the split of the ring is proposed. The equivalent circuit model of the structure is presented and the electrical parameters are also extracted.
