Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Electromagnetic modeling and design of a novel class of complementary split-ring resonators [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of RF and Microwave Computer-Aided Engineering, 2018
This research study reports the assessment of complementary split ring resonators based on Gielis transformation as basic elements for the design of high-performance microwave components in printed technology. From the electromagnetic simulation of said structures, suitable equivalent circuit models are extracted and analyzed.

COMPLEMENTARY SPLIT RING RESONATORS OF LARGE STOP BANDWIDTH

open access: yesProgress In Electromagnetics Research Letters, 2010
Novel complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) is introduced to increase the stop bandwidth. Despite of their exotic behavior due to negative permittivity, their performance is limited by their stop bandwidth. The orientation of CSRR etched on the ground has strong coupling that can be altered for the increased stop bandwidth.

Directional coupling of surface plasmon polaritons at complementary split-ring resonators [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2019
AbstractWe propose a complementary split-ring resonator (CSRR) for a directional coupling of surface plasmon polaritons. An air-slot split-ring in a gold film is investigated using the finite-difference time-domain method. The normally incident light couples to either a monopole or a dipole SPP depending on the polarization of light.

Microstrip Patch Antenna with a Complementary Unit of Rhombic Split Ring Resonator (R-SRR) Structure [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
: Hitherto, split ring resonator is becoming a popular structure in antenna design. The objective of this paper is to determine the effect of the rhombic complimentary split ring resonator structure (R-SRR) on microstrip patch antenna design. The basic

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Decoupling Method Based on Complementary Split Ring Resonator (CSRR) for Two Cone Shipborne Antennas

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
Shipborne antenna is the important part in the communication system of modern ships. However, the coupling between shipborne antennas greatly influences their communication performance so an effective decoupling method is needed to address the coupling ...
