Some Padé approximations and inequalities for the complete elliptic integrals of the first kind

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2021
In this paper, we present Padé approximations of some functions involving complete elliptic integrals of the first kind K ( x ) $K(x)$ , and motivated by these approximations we also present the following double inequality: 1 − x 2 1 − x 2 + x 4 62 < 2 e

Optimizing photoexcitation conditions for time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering experiments

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering (TR‐XSS) is a powerful technique to visualize how proteins change their structure in real time after light activation. Selecting the right laser photoexcitation conditions—fluence, excitation geometry, and sample refresh rate—is critical to maximize the experimental signal while avoiding unwanted side effects ...

Comprehensive Assessment of Arterial, Tissue, and Venous Collaterals for Evaluating the Infarct Growth Rate: The Multimodal Collateral Score

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Collaterals are crucial factors that influence the infarct growth rate (IGR). We aimed to determine whether a comprehensive multimodal collateral score (MCS), incorporating collateral assessment at the arterial, tissue, and venous levels, is associated with functional independence and provides incremental prognostic value over ...

The O(α2) initial state QED corrections to e+e−→γ⁎/Z0⁎

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2020
We calculate the complete O(α2) initial state radiation corrections to e+e− annihilation into a neutral vector boson in a direct analytic computation without any approximation.

A Numerical–Experimental Approach for Multi‐Matrix Fiber‐Reinforced Plastics Characterization Using Finite Element Model Updating

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

Fostering Innovation: Streamlining Magnetocaloric Materials Research by Digitalization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetocaloric cooling (MCE) is an environmentally friendly refrigeration method with great potential. Optimizing MCE materials involves the preparation and screening of large quantities of samples, which in turn generates a large amount of data. A digitalization approach is presented that uses ontologies, knowledge graphs, and digital workflows to ...

Geodesics for the Painlevé–Gullstrand Form of Lense–Thirring Spacetime

open access: yesUniverse, 2022
Recently, the current authors have formulated and extensively explored a rather novel Painlevé–Gullstrand variant of the slow-rotation Lense–Thirring spacetime, a variant which has particularly elegant features—including unit lapse, intrinsically flat ...

Creep‐Induced Microstructural Evolution in an A2‐B2 Superalloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A 27.3Ta‐27.3Mo‐27.3Ti‐8Cr‐10Al (at.%) refractory high‐entropy alloy with precipitation‐strengthened A2‐B2 microstructure was studied by creep tests at 1030°C, which demonstrate a transition in deformation mechanisms in the range of 100–150 MPa applied stress. This is associated with changes in dislocation–precipitate interactions. Relevant deformation

Refinements, Generalizations, and Applications of Jordan's Inequality and Related Problems

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2009
This is a survey and expository article. Some new developments on refinements, generalizations, and applications of Jordan's inequality and related problems, including some results about Wilker-Anglesio's inequality, some estimates for three ...
