A Common Fixed Point Theorem in D*-Metric Spaces

open access: yesFixed Point Theory and Applications, 2007
We give some new definitions of D*-metric spaces and we prove a common fixed point theorem for a class of mappings under the condition of weakly commuting mappings in complete D∗-metric spaces.

Matkowski's type theorems for generalized contractions on (ordered) partial metric spaces

open access: yesApplied General Topology, 2011
We obtain extensions of Matkowski's fixed point theorem for generalized contractions of Ciric's type on 0-complete partial metric spaces and on ordered 0-complete partial metric spaces, respectively.

The Dual Gromov-Hausdorff Propinquity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Motivated by the quest for an analogue of the Gromov-Hausdorff distance in noncommutative geometry which is well-behaved with respect to C*-algebraic structures, we propose a complete metric on the class of Leibniz quantum compact metric spaces, named ...

Constructions of complete metric spaces and compact Hausdorff spaces which are not Baire spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
The standard proofs of the Baire category theorem for complete metric spaces (for compact Hausdorff spaces) use the Principle of Dependent Choice. Goldblatt [1] showed the Baire Category Theorem for complete metric spaces is equivalent to the Principle ...

Generalized Suzuki type Z-contraction in complete metric spaces

open access: yes, 2018
In this paper, we introduce the notion of Suzuki type Z-contraction and study the corresponding fixed point property. This kind of contraction generalizes the Banach contraction and unifies several known type of nonlinear contractions.

Fixed Point Theory in b-convex Metric Spaces

open access: yesJournal of Harbin University of Science and Technology, 2021
b-metric spaces are a kind of generalized metric spaces, which have attracted extensive attention of scholars at home and abroad in recent years. In this paper, the convex structure is firstly introduced in b-metric spaces, and consequently the notion of ...

Some fixed point theorems concerning (ψ,ϕ )-type contraction in complete metric spaces

open access: yes, 2016
The purpose of this paper is to introduce the notions of (ψ, φ)-type contractions and (ψ, φ)-type Suzuki contractions and to establish some new fixed point theorems for such kind of mappings in the setting of complete metric spaces. The results presented

STATISTICAL CONVERGENCE IN A BICOMPLEX VALUED METRIC SPACE

open access: yesUral Mathematical Journal, 2023
In this paper, we study some basic properties of bicomplex numbers. We introduce two different types of partial order relations on bicomplex numbers, discuss bicomplex valued metric spaces with respect to two different partial orders, and compare them ...

On the metric compactification of infinite-dimensional $\ell_{p}$ spaces

open access: yes, 2018
The notion of metric compactification was introduced by Gromov and later rediscovered by Rieffel; and has been mainly studied on proper geodesic metric spaces.

Completion of a Dislocated Metric Space [PDF]

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2015
We provide a construction for the completion of a dislocated metric space (abbreviatedd-metric space); we also prove that the completion of the metric associated with ad-metric coincides with the metric associated with the completion of thed-metric.
