Realization of conditionally monotone independence and monotone products of completely positive maps [PDF]
The paper gives an operator algebras model for the conditional monotone independence, introduced by T. Hasebe. The construction is used to prove an embedding result for the N. Muraki's monotone product of C*-algebras. Also, the formulas from the definition of conditional monotone independence are used to define the monotone product of maps which is ...

An application of a moment problem to completely monotonic functions [PDF]
We consider the following question: if a function of the form $\int_0^{\infty}\varphi(t)\, e^{-xt}dt$ is completely monotonic, is it then $\varphi\ge0$? It turns out that the question is related to a moment problem. In the end we apply those results to answer some questions concerning complete monotonicity of certain functions raised in F.

In this work, the tandem catalyst consisted of single Fe atom and Fe3C nanoparticles on porous carbon sheet is initially proposed and developed to facilitate the dissociation of Li(solvent)x+ to release more isolated Li+ to participate in the subsequent polysulfide redox conversions by decreasing the related barriers, contributing to fast kinetics of ...

Complete monotonicity and bernstein properties of functions are characterized by their restriction on N [PDF]
We give several new characterizations of completely monotone functions and Bernstein functions via two approaches: the first one is driven algebraically via elementary preserving mappings and the second one is developed in terms of the behavior of their restriction on the set of non-negative integers. We give a complete answer to the following question:

Kolmogorov's problem for completely and multiply monotone functions and the Markov moment problem [PDF]
In this paper, we present the solution to Kolmogorov's problem for the classes of multiply monotone and completely monotone functions together with its connections to the Markov moment problem, Hermite-Birkhoff interpolation problem, and other extremal problems.

Computational Modeling of Reticular Materials: The Past, the Present, and the Future
Reticular materials are advanced materials with applications in emerging technologies. A thorough understanding of material properties at operating conditions is critical to accelerate the deployment at an industrial scale. Herein, the status of computational modeling of reticular materials is reviewed, supplemented with topical examples highlighting ...

Complete Monotonicity and Inequalities of Functions Involving $Γ$-function [PDF]
In this paper, we investigate the complete monotonicity of some functions involving gamma function. Using the monotonic properties of these functions, we derived some inequalities involving gamma and beta functions. Such inequalities arising in probability theory.

A Bio‐Inspired Perspective on Materials Sustainability
This perspective discusses natural materials as inspiration for sustainable engineering designs and the processing of materials. First, circularity, longevity, parsimony, and activity are presented as essential material paradigms. The perspective then uses many examples of natural and technical materials to introduce principles such as oligo ...
