Semigroups generated by certain operators on varieties of completely regular semigroups [PDF]
The operators \(C,K,L,T,T_{\ell}\) and \(T_ r\) on the lattice \({\mathcal L}({\mathcal C}{\mathcal R})\) of varieties of completely regular semigroups have played an important role in recent studies of \({\mathcal L}({\mathcal C}{\mathcal R})\). Although each of these operators is idempotent, when applied in various combinations to the trivial variety

ABSTRACT This paper proposes a boundary control method for nonlinear distributed parameter systems (DPSs) with limited boundary measurements (BMs), as typically encountered in networked cyber‐physical processes with spatially distributed dynamics such as thermal and biomedical diffusion systems.

Measure‐valued processes for energy markets
Abstract We introduce a framework that allows to employ (non‐negative) measure‐valued processes for energy market modeling, in particular for electricity and gas futures. Interpreting the process' spatial structure as time to maturity, we show how the Heath–Jarrow–Morton approach can be translated to this framework, thus guaranteeing arbitrage free ...

On the automorphisms of the power semigroups of a numerical semigroup
Abstract If H$H$ is a numerical semigroup (i.e., a cofinite subset of the non‐negative integers closed under addition), then the collection of all non‐empty subsets of H$H$ forms a semigroup P(H)$\mathcal {P}(H)$ under the sumset operation induced by addition in H$H$.

Context‐free graphs and their transition groups
Abstract Starting from context‐free inverse graphs, we introduce a new class of groups and study their structural properties. We establish closure properties, show that their coword problems are context‐free, analyze torsion elements, and realize them as subgroups of the asynchronous rational group.

Free completely regular semigroups [PDF]
A completely regular semigroup is a semigroup that is a union of groups. The aim here is to provide an alternative characterization of the free completely regular semigroup Fcrx on a set X to that given by J. A. Gerhard in [3, 4].Although the structure theory for completely regular semigroups was initiated in 1941 [1] by A. H. Clifford it was not until

Free semigroups of large critical exponent
Abstract For a convergence group equipped with an expanding coarse‐cocycle, we construct finitely generated free subsemigroups, which we call Bishop−−Jonessemigroups$\textit{Bishop--Jones semigroups}$, of critical exponent arbitrarily close to but strictly less than the critical exponent of the ambient group.

Eventually Pointed Principally Ordered Regular Semigroups
An ordered regular semigroup, , is said to be principally ordered if for every there exists . A principally ordered regular semigroup is pointed if for every element, we have .

Higher representation stability for ordered configuration spaces
Abstract Using factorization homology with coefficients in twisted commutative algebras (TCAs), we prove two flavors of higher representation stability for the cohomology of (generalized) configuration spaces of a scheme/topological space X$X$. First, we provide an iterative procedure to study higher representation stability using actions coming from ...
