Rupestonic Acid of Artemisia Rupestris L. Extract Treats Pulmonary Fibrosis in COPD by Targeting TGF‐β1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RA of EEAR inhibits TGF‐β1 ubiquitination and changes conformation by target binding TGF‐β1, regulating TGF‐β1/Smad2/3 signaling pathway. Thus it down‐regulated downstream protein expression, inhibited EMT and collagen deposition of ECM, in order to EEAR preventing PF in COPD.

New insights into the condensed nature and stratigraphic significance of the Late Neogene Ariki Formation, Taranaki Basin [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The Ariki Formation is a distinctive Late Miocene – Early Pliocene marl facies rich in planktic foraminifera, reaching thicknesses in the range 70 - 109 m in most exploration holes drilled into the Western Platform northwest of Taranaki Peninsula.

Midbrain PAG Astrocytes Modulate Mouse Defensive and Panic‐Like Behaviors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Astrocytes in the midbrain periaqueductal gray (PAG) dynamically encode threat intensity and shape defensive action selection in mice. Real‐time Ca2+ imaging reveals robust astrocytic activation during predator odor and CO2 exposure. Aberrant astrocytic Ca2+ overactivation disrupts goal‐directed escape, biases behavior toward freezing, and induces ...

A Comprehensive Review of Colloidal gas aphrons applications in the Oil Industry

open access: yesJournal of Petroleum Exploration and Production Technology
Colloidal gas aphrons (CGAs) are characterized by their multi-layered, stable bubbles, encased within thin surfactant films. Their remarkable stability, due to the presence of a delicate surfactant shell, has made them a versatile and transformative ...

Tailoring Vascular‐Immune Homeostasis via Manganese‐DNA Complex‐Armed Immunogenic Extracellular Vesicles for Pancreatic Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that Mn2⁺–tumor DNA complexes encapsulated in dendritic cell (DC)– derived immunogenic extracellular vesicles (EVDC@Mn‐DNA) act as a DC‐specific cGAS– STING activator. EVDC@Mn‐DNA treatment enhances intratumoral DC activation, improves tumor vascular function, promotes CD8⁺ T cell activity, and suppresses pancreatic tumor growth,

NDST3‐Induced Epigenetic Reprogramming Reverses Neurodegeneration in Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
NDST3‐mediated epigenetic reprogramming revitalizes neuronal circuits in the substantia nigra and striatum to halt dopaminergic neuron degeneration and restore motor function in Parkinson's disease models. This strategy promotes neuronal maintenance and functional recovery, highlighting NDST3's therapeutic potential in neurodegenerative disorders ...

Development of machine learning models for predicting the deposition of sulfide scales in oil production wells

open access: yesJournal of King Saud University: Engineering Sciences
Scale deposition in oil wells poses numerous operational challenges that can lead to blockage of the completion string; therefore, it is recommended to predict scale accumulation before its occurrence.
