Multiomics Analyses Reveal an Essential Role of Tryptophan in Treatment of csDMARDs in Rheumatoid Arthritis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Rheumatoid arthritis is a disease characterized by joint inflammation. Approximately 50% of patients show insufficient response to traditional synthetic disease‐modifying antirheumatic drugs. This study aims to elucidate differential molecular profiles of the mechanisms underlying drug responses through multi‐omics strategy.

Application of New Composite Completion and Production Technology for Marine Long Horizontal Wells in Western Sichuan Basin

open access: yesShiyou jixie
The marine long horizontal wells in western Sichuan Basin were initially completed directly using conventional permanent packer, but had to be subjected to workover due to pressure build-up in the tubing⁃casing annulus in the late stage of testing or the

M5-brane prongs, string soliton bound states and wall-crossing

open access: yesSciPost Physics Core
We study Abelian M5-brane field configurations representing BPS bound states of self-dual string solitons whose locations correspond to the endlines of M2-branes ending on the M5-branes.

Substantially Altered Local and Systemic Immunity in Ischemia‐Free Versus Conventional Liver Transplantation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates how ischemia‐free liver transplantation (IFLT) shapes both local and systemic immune responses compared with conventional liver transplantation (CLT). Our findings demonstrate that IFLT confers significant immunological protection by attenuating the STAT3‐HIF‐1α axis and enhancing the Heme‐HMOX1 pathway, two regulatory networks ...

[Review of] Toni Morrison. Song of Solomon: The Flight of Afro-American Life [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
Song of Solomon can only be viewed as a tribute to the artistic and cultural genius of Ms. Toni Morrison. I, as reviewer and want-to-be-rich writer, am studious and intent throughout my reading of her novel. I am amazed, gratified and satisfied.

NDST3‐Induced Epigenetic Reprogramming Reverses Neurodegeneration in Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
NDST3‐mediated epigenetic reprogramming revitalizes neuronal circuits in the substantia nigra and striatum to halt dopaminergic neuron degeneration and restore motor function in Parkinson's disease models. This strategy promotes neuronal maintenance and functional recovery, highlighting NDST3's therapeutic potential in neurodegenerative disorders ...

Bioinspired Twisted Artificial Muscles with Enhanced Performance for Underwater Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A climbing plant‐inspired twisted artificial muscle (TAM) with a braided configuration and seal‐inspired thermal insulation enables high‐performance underwater actuation. Enhanced deformation, reduced heat dissipation, and rapid motion are validated through a bionic ray that exhibits straight and turning motions.
