Three complexity functions [PDF]
For an extensive range of infinite words, and the associated symbolic dynamical systems, we compute, together with the usual language complexity function counting the finite words, the minimal and maximal complexity functions we get by replacing finite words by finite patterns, or words with holes.

Immune complex-induced anti-inflammatory neutrophil functions [PDF]
Neutrophils are short lived innate immune cells that perform a range of functions, including chemotaxis, phagocytosis, degranulation, generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and production of cytokines which equip them well to defending the host from

Ansatz and Averaging Methods for Modeling the (Un)Conserved Complex Duffing Oscillators
In this study, both the ansatz and averaging methods are carried out for analyzing the complex Duffing oscillators including the undamped/conserved complex Duffing oscillator (CDO) and the damped/unconserved CDO to obtain some approximate analytical ...

Pre-functions and Extended pre-functions of Complex Variables
Pre-functions are functions that possess a sequence $\{f_{n}(z,\beta)\}$ which tends to one of the elementary functions as $n$ tends to infinity and $\beta$ tends to 0.

Understanding the mammalian TRAP complex function(s) [PDF]
In eukaryotic cells, about one-third of the synthesized proteins are translocated into the endoplasmic reticulum; they are membrane or lumen resident proteins and proteins direct to the Golgi apparatus.

Long non-coding RNAs: definitions, functions, challenges and recommendations
Genes specifying long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) occupy a large fraction of the genomes of complex organisms. The term ‘lncRNAs’ encompasses RNA polymerase I (Pol I), Pol II and Pol III transcribed RNAs, and RNAs from processed introns.

General Complex-Valued Grouping Functions
Grouping function is a special kind of aggregation function which measures the amount of evidence in favor of either of the two choices. Recently, complex fuzzy sets have been successfully used in many fields.
