Distance formulas in complex hyperbolic space

open access: yesForum Mathematicum, 1996
The distance between two objects in complex hyperbolic \(n\)-space \(H^n(\mathbb{C})\) is investigated. The objects are allowed to be some combination of points, (real) geodesics, equidistant real hypersurfaces (spinal surfaces, bisectors) or complex hyperplanes.

eQTL Meta‐Analysis Reveals Conserved and Population‐Specific Regulatory Variation Underlying Nutritional Trait Evolution and Domestication in Tomato

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A comprehensive meta‐analysis of expression quantitative trait loci (eQTLs) across five diverse tomato populations reveals a high‐resolution atlas of transcriptional regulation and uncovers conserved and population‐specific regulatory architectures underlying fruit nutritional quality traits, including flavonoids, sugars, organic acids, carotenoids ...

Hyperbolic graph autoencoder-based functional protein network analysis for preserving edible biodiversity in endangered food species

open access: yesDiscover Food
Protein function prediction, protein–protein interaction (PPI) prediction, and complex identification are essential tasks in bioinformatics and play a critical role in understanding biological mechanisms underlying food traits such as stress resistance ...

Corals and Reef‐Dwelling Fish Regulate Carbon Storage and Cycling Processes in Coral Reef Ecosystems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Coral reefs are biodiversity hotspots, yet their role in carbon storage and cycling remains poorly understood. Using field surveys and modeling in the South China Sea, we reveal the overlooked potential of carbon storage in reef ecosystems and how reef fish, corals, and surface sediment jointly shape reef carbon reservoirs.

Two Routes to Land: Genomic Underpinnings of Parallel Aerial Egg Deposition in Aquatic Old‐World Pila and New‐World Pomacea (Ampullariidae)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Comparative genomics of Gondwana‐diverged Pila and Pomacea reveals parallel evolution of aerial oviposition. Convergent chromosomal rearrangements reshape regulatory landscapes within topologically associating domains. Lineage‐specific gene family expansions and viral‐derived perivitelline proteins (PV1) underpin desiccation resistance.

New explicit solutions for the space-time fractional mBBM equation

open access: yes四川大学学报. 自然科学版, 2018
In order to construct new explicit solutions of the space-time fractional mBBM equation, the fractional complex transformation is applied to turn the fractional partial differential equation into an ordinary differential equation (ODE). Then the extended

Learning the Manifold of Authenticity: Hybrid-Curvature Representation Learning for Generalizable Deepfake Detection

open access: yesIEEE Access
The practical utility of deepfake detectors is crippled by a crisis of generalization: models that perform well on known manipulation techniques consistently fail when faced with unseen forgeries.

Large‐Scale Genomics Reveals Three‐Source Ancestry and Layered Adaptation to High Altitude in Tibetan Chickens

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Whole‐genome analysis of 1,054 chickens reveals three ancestral sources (NWC, SYA, and SHF) with distinct temporal entry patterns into the Tibetan Plateau. Route‐specific selection scans, calibrated against a demographic null, suggest complementary functional enrichments—vascular homeostasis (NWC), calcium signaling and cardiac adaptation (SYA), and ...

Transferable Deep Reinforcement Learning With Edge‐Contour‐Depth Fusion for Autonomous Wireless Capsule Endoscopy Navigation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents an anatomical landmark‐guided DRL framework for autonomous wireless capsule endoscopy navigation. Using a lightweight edge‐contour‐depth fusion module, it achieves over 97% coverage across diverse gastric anatomies. To ensure reliability, a two‐stage sim‐to‐real pipeline with an adaptive dynamic programming controller mitigates ...
