Dipicolinate Complexes of Gallium(III) and Lanthanum(III)

Inorganic Chemistry, 2016
Three dipicolinic acid amine-derived compounds functionalized with a carboxylate (H3dpaa), phosphonate (H4dppa), and bisphosphonate (H7dpbpa), as well as their nonfunctionalized analogue (H2dpa), were successfully synthesized and characterized. The 1:1 lanthanum(III) complexes of H2dpa, H3dpaa, and H4dppa, the 1:2 lanthanum(III) complex of H2dpa, and ...

SULFITOAMINE COMPLEXES OF COBALT(III)

Phosphorus, Sulfur, and Silicon and the Related Elements, 1989
Abstract Monosulfito and bis(hydrogensulfito) cobalt(III) complexes were prepared using sodium sulfite and sodium metabisulfite salts respectively. The two types of products showed different and characterizing patterns of IR and UV-visible spectra. They both contain Co-SO3 linkages and the sulfite groups have similar or different site symmetries in the

Gold(III) Olefin Complexes

Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2012
Zeise's salt gets company: 185 years after the report of the well-known platinum(II) ethylene compound, examples of isolable olefin complexes of its isoelectronic neighbor in the periodic table, gold(III), have been prepared (see picture). The complexes are very susceptible towards nucleophilic attack; there is also structural evidence for AuIII–Ag ...

Hydroxide complexes of cerium(III)

Talanta, 1978
From the experimentally determined borderline of precipitation in the pM'-pH diagram the stability constants of the mononuclear and polynuclear species of cerium hydroxide have been determined graphically. The stability constants found are log*beta(1) = -8.1, log*beta(2) = -16.3, log*beta(3) = -26.0, log*beta(5,3) = -32.8 and log*K(s0) = 20.1.

A triboluminescent europium(III) complex

Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 2001
The crystal structure of (4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridyl)tris[3,3,3-trifluoro-1-(2-thenoyl)propan-2-onato]europium(III), or more commonly (4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridyl)tris(2-thenoyltrifluoroacetonato)europium(III), [Eu(C8H4F3O2S)3(C12H12N2)], has been determined. Crystals of the complex emit vivid red light when scratched or fractured.

Lanthanum(III) and praseodymium(III) complexes with isatin thiosemicarbazones

Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 2005
Ten new lanthanum(III) and praseodymium(III) complexes of the general formula Na[La(L)2H2O] (Ln=La(III) or Pr(III); LH2=thiosemicarbazones) derived from the condensation of isatin with 4-phenyl thiosemicarbazide, 4-(4-chlorophenyl) thiosemicarbazide, 4-(2-nitrophenyl) thiosemicarbazide, 4-(2-bromophenyl) thiosemicarbazide and 4-(2-methylphenyl ...

Cytotoxic Activity of Gd(III)‐ and Dy(III)‐Complexes

Archiv der Pharmazie, 2007
AbstractThe complexes of gadolinium(III) and dysprosium(III) were synthesized by reaction of the respective inorganic salts with 3,5‐pyrazoledicarboxylic acid in amounts equal to metal to ligand molar ratio of 1 : 2. The structures of the final complexes were determined by means of spectral and elemental analyses.

Social Complexity III: Theories

2014
Since laws describe and theories explain, this chapter introduces the reader to generative theories of social complexity in CSS. The emphasis is on formal and empirically referenced theories, in some cases amenable to validation with real-world data, consistent with a computational approach. The chapter has three thrusts.

Phospholylsamarium(III) Complexes

Inorganic Chemistry, 1995
Here, the authors report the chemical preparation and crystal structure of the first examples of phospholylsamarium(III) complexes. These complexes were analyzed characterized by NMR spectroscopy and X-ray spectroscopy.
