A New Entropy Measurement for the Analysis of Uncertain Data in MCDA Problems Using Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets and COPRAS Method

open access: yesAxioms, 2021
In this paper, we propose a new intuitionistic entropy measurement for multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems. The entropy of an intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS) measures uncertainty related to the data modelling as IFS.

Complex Atanassov's Intuitionistic Fuzzy Relation

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
This paper presents distance measure between two complex Atanassov's intuitionistic fuzzy sets (CAIFSs). This distance measure is used to illustrate an application of CAIFSs in solving one of the most core application areas of fuzzy set theory, which is ...

Codes over Lattice‐Valued Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set Type‐3 with Application to the Complex DNA Analysis

open access: yesComplexity, 2022
In this article codes over lattice valued intuitionistic fuzzy set type‐3 (LIFS‐3) are defined. Binary block codes and linear codes are constructed over LIFS‐3. Hamming distance and related properties of these newly established codes are examined. The research findings are applied to genetic codes.

Robotic sensor based on score and accuracy values in q-rung complex diophatine neutrosophic normal set with an aggregation operation

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2023
The multiple-attribute decision-making (MADM) problem is resolved through the q-rung complex diophantine neutrosophic normal set (q-rung CDNNS). An important way to express uncertain information is using q-rung orthopair fuzzy sets (q-ROFs).

Operation properties and (α,β)-equalities of complex intuitionistic fuzzy sets

open access: yes, 2022
Abstract A complex intuitionistic fuzzy set is an innovative uncertainty set whose membership and non-membership functions take values in the unit circle in the complex plane. This paper investigates various operation properties and proposes a new distance measure for complex intuitionistic fuzzy sets. The distance of two complex intuitionistic

Innovative discussion of decision-making model based on complex cubic picture fuzzy information and geometric aggregation operators with applications

open access: yesComplex & Intelligent Systems, 2023
This article presents a novel concept of complex cubic picture fuzzy sets (CCPFS) and introduces one more new idea of complex interval-valued picture fuzzy sets (CIVPFS) as foundational framework of CCPFS.

Generalized Direct Product of Complex Intuitionistic Fuzzy Subrings

open access: yesInternational Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems, 2021
The objective of this article is to present the notion of direct product of two complex intuitionistic fuzzy subrings. We show that the direct product of two complex intuitionistic fuzzy subrings is also complex intuitionistic fuzzy subring and discuss ...

A Historical Account of Types of Fuzzy Sets and Their Relationships [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, we review the definition and basic properties of the different types of fuzzy sets that have appeared up to now in the literature. We also analyze the relationships between them and enumerate some of the applications in which they have ...

The Logical Burdens of Proof. Assertion and Hypothesis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The paper proposes two logical analyses of (the norms of) justification. In a first, realist-minded case, truth is logically independent from justification and leads to a pragmatic logic LP including two epistemic and pragmatic operators, namely ...
