Study on a mathematical model and experiments for nonlinear seepage in complex crushed rocks with mud-rock slurry

open access: yesMeitan kexue jishu
Faults and collapse columns are some of the main hidden dangers affecting the coal mining above confined aquifers, which structure is composed of crushed stones and argillaceous fillings (mud-rock slurry), and thus is very complex.

Electrospun Wood‐Derived Biopolymers as Electrodes in Electrochemical Energy Storage Technologies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electrospinning transforms wood‐derived cellulose and lignin into architecturally defined, binder‐free carbon electrodes with tuneable porosity and functionality. This review shows how fibre design enables decoupled charge and mass transport, enhancing performance across battery systems, while identifying key challenges in spinnability, scalability ...

Fusogenic RNA Nanomodules for Fusion‐Mediated and Multiplexed siRNA Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A fusogenic lipid‐layered RNA nanomodules (L‐CRAMs) enable high‐capacity and long‐lasting siRNA delivery through membrane fusion. These nanomodules carry exceptionally large siRNA payloads, avoid conventional endosomal uptake, and release multiple functional siRNAs through Dicer‐mediated processing.

A Novel Modified Petroresin Particle (MPRP) With Enhanced Oil–Water Selectivity for Cold Production in Heavy Oil Reservoirs

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel oil–water selective conformance control agent, MPRP, is prepared via hydrophilic grafting and mechanical granulation. MPRP uniformly disperses in water, cohesively expands upon aging, and readily dissolves in the oil phase. During conformance control, it selectively aggregates in water channeling pathways to form effective plugs without ...

Permeability test on reinforced clayey sand [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Composite soils have been widely used in civil engineering applications, especially in slopes, embankment dam and landfills. This paper aims to investigate effect of fiber inclusion on permeability of composite soil (i.e. sand composite).

Study on the evolution of permeability properties of limestone under different stress paths

open access: yesApplied Rheology
Stress path change has a great relationship with the effect of deformation and strength of rock. However, the underground rock body is in the engineering environment where the stress field, seepage field, and other fields are coupled to change, the law ...

Tough and Skin‐Free Porous Polyelectrolyte Complex Hydrogels via Salt‐Induced Aqueous Phase Separation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlling counterion exchange rate during aqueous phase separation enables the formation of skin‐free, homogeneously porous polyelectrolyte complex hydrogels by suppressing kinetically trapped skin layers and macrovoids. The resulting hydrogel networks exhibit exceptional toughness (∼15 MJ·m−3) and enable 3D (bio)printing and post‐functionalization ...
