Peculiar Bi-ion dynamics in Na1/2Bi1/2TiO3 from terahertz and microwave dielectric spectroscopy
Dynamics of the main dielectric anomaly in Na1/2Bi1/2TiO3 (NBT) was studied by time-domain THz and microwave spectroscopy, using also previously published data and their new overall fits.

Nanoscale‐grooved indium gallium oxide (IGO) semiconductors, patterned via thermal nanoimprint lithography (NIL) using CD/DVD templates, are integrated into electrolyte‐gated transistor biosensors to overcome Debye length limitations. Precisely engineered concave–convex nanostructures modulate local electrostatic potentials, extend the effective Debye ...

Potato tuber permittivity during deformation in compression
Potato tuber specimens of two varieties (Nicola and Saturna) were deformed in a compression loading/unloading test. The tuber complex permittivity spectrum at frequencies 0.1-500 kHz was measured repeatedly during the deformation.

Measurements of complex permittivity of microwave substrates in the 20 to 300 K temperature range from 26.5 to 40.0 GHz [PDF]
A knowledge of the dielectric properties of microwave substrates at low temperatures is useful in the design of superconducting microwave circuits. Results are reported for a study of the complex permittivity of sapphire (Al2O3), magnesium oxide (MgO ...

Complex permittivity scaling of functionally graded composites
In this paper, we provide a fundamental understanding of dielectric loss behavior as a function of applied electric field and frequency in functionally graded composites with varying numbers of layers and compositions. A new power-law scaling relation in the form of was derived based upon the ferroelectric hysteresis.

Color Routing and Beam Steering of Single‐Molecule Emission with a Spherical Silicon Nanoantenna
We experimentally demonstrate broadband directional emission from single molecules using a single spherical silicon nanoparticle assembled via DNA origami. By varying nanoparticle (NP) size and emitter position, we achieve unidirectional emission, beam steering, and color routing at the nanoscale, revealing modal interference as the underlying ...

Ferroelectric memcapacitors enable non‐volatile, voltage‐programmable capacitance tuning for adaptive electronics. A TiN/HfZrO/TiN device stack demonstrates more than eight stable capacitance states within a 24 pF memory window in compact 60 ×$\times$ 60 μm2$\umu{\rm m}^{2}$ devices at low operating voltages.

Triblock Polymer Engineering Enables Hydration‐Rich, High‐Performance, Fouling‐Resistant Interfaces
A molecularly engineered triblock polymer (PHZ) rapidly reorganizes into a hydration‐rich interfacial layer on diverse surfaces, strongly suppressing hydrophobic attraction and fouling. The triblock polymer provides robust energy and steric barriers to oily foulants, enabling high‐performance antifouling at ultralow dosage.

Modified Hilbert transform pair and Kramers-Kronig relations for complex permittivities [PDF]
Modified versions of the Hilbert transform pair and the Kramers-Kronig relations are derived for the complex permittivity of a plasma/dielectric medium which is singular at the frequency of the applied electric field equal to 0.
