Microstructure, Thermal Transport, and Dry‐Sliding Tribology of Powder‐Metallurgy Al7075 Composites Reinforced With Sol–Gel‐Derived ZnO–rGO Hybrid Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Sol–gel‐derived ZnO–rGO hybrid nanoparticles enable Al7075 powder‐metallurgy composites to achieve concurrent gains in hardness and thermal conductivity while markedly lowering friction and wear. The hybrid architecture couples ZnO‐based load support with rGO‐assisted lamellar sliding and heat spreading, revealing a promising route toward lightweight ...

Fusion algebras for imprimitive complex reflection groups

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 2007
We prove that the Fourier matrices for the imprimitive complex reflection groups introduced by Malle define fusion algebras with not necessarily positive but integer structure constants. Hence they define Z-algebras. As a result, we obtain that all known Fourier matrices belonging to spetses define algebras with integer structure constants.

Additive Manufacturing of Alumina‐Reinforced Elastomers

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Vat‐photopolymerized elastomers reinforced with platelet‐shaped alumina exhibited preferential orientation, reduced porosity, and significantly enhanced mechanical performance. A 3 wt% platelet loading increased tensile strength from 12.4 to 45.7 MPa, highlighting the critical role of filler morphology in elastomeric VPP composites.

Unipotent Degrees of Imprimitive Complex Reflection Groups

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 1995
From the introduction of this quite remarkable paper: The unipotent characters play a particular role in the representation theory of the finite groups of Lie type \(G(q)\). Their degrees depend, when considered as polynomials in \(q\), only on the Weyl group of \(G(q)\).

High‐Temperature Phase Transformation in a V‐9Si‐6.5B Alloy: The Kinetic and Crystallographic Pathway From V5SiB2 to V8SiB4

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In situ synchrotron high‐energy X‐ray diffraction reveals the real‐time high‐temperature phase evolution of a ternary V‐9Si‐6.5B alloy. The study uncovers a kinetically delayed V5SiB2 → V8SiB4 transformation governed by massive structural and chemical barriers.

An Evolutionary Multi-Objective Approach to the Problem of Building College Student Groups

open access: yesLatin-American Journal of Computing, 2017
The creation of working groups of students in education is a common process that is often developed by the teacher intuitively. However, such a process is actually a complex task since various students and criteria must be taken into account. In general,

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.
