Relative permittivity and electrical conductivity of some divalent metal alginate complexes
Materials Letters, 1997Abstract The influence of a frequency on the relative permittivity e ′ Γ as well as the AC conductivity of metal alginate complexes (Ba 2+ , Sr 2+ , Pb 2+ , Cd 2+ or Zn 2+ ions) as a function of temperature has been investigated. The average values of the activation energy obtained from the experimental data indicate that the electrical ...

A new measurement technique for obtaining the complex relative permittivity of terrain surfaces
IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2002A new method for measuring the effective complex relative permittivity of a reflecting surface is presented. The approach is based on the two-ray model. We derive an equation of a circle representing the complex reflection coefficient which relates the incidence angle, frequency, and received power from the path gain using the two-ray model.

The Contemporary Definition of Complex Relative Permittivity
Journal of ASTM International, 2008Abstract ASTM D150 [Standard Test Methods for AC Loss Characteristic and Permittivity (Dielectric Constant) of Solid Electrical Insulation, 2004] is the standard for measurement of alternating current (AC). Aimed at an analysis of this standard and proceeding from the information transmission characteristic of the dielectric, the ...

Several techniques for measuring accurately the complex permittivity of ceramics using a Fabry-Perot resonator have been developed in millimeter frequency range. Accurate measurement became possible at 40-60 GHz by the three new techniques: 1. exact centering of the sample; 2. exact determination of the sample normal direction parallel to the resonator

Uniaxial Complex Relative Permittivity Tensor Measurement of Rocks From 40 Hz to 4.5 GHz
IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2017We develop a set of combined measurement techniques and calculation workflows to determine the complex uniaxial dielectric tensor of a rock sample from 40 Hz to 4.5 GHz. This unique method provides the ability to develop interpretation models bridging electrical logging tools with their corresponding operational frequencies and measurement direction ...

Effect of metal and halogen ions on the relative permittivity of some diamine complexes
Physica Scripta, 1997The real part of the relative permittivity e'r as well as the dielectric loss as represented by e''r for the compounds (CH2)n(NH3)2MCl4−xBrx (where x = 0, 2, n = 2, 3 and M = Cu, Co) have been measured. The measurements were carried out as a function of temperature and frequency. Both e'r and e''r show the same relaxation phenomena which involves large

Effect of porosity, pore size and permeability on the complex relative permittivity of sandstone
2017 Progress In Electromagnetics Research Symposium - Spring (PIERS), 2017The measurement of the frequency dependences of the complex relative permittivity (CRP) of fully or partially saturated with distilled water rocks with different petrophysical characteristics is carried out. NMR relaxometer is used to determine the rocks pore size and porosity.
