Hopf hypersurfaces in pseudo-Riemannian complex and para-complex space forms [PDF]
The study of real hypersurfaces in pseudo-Riemannian complex space forms and para-complex space forms, which are the pseudo-Riemannian generalizations of the complex space forms, is addressed.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Positively curved complex submanifolds immersed in a complex space form [PDF]
The author gives the partial solution for the conjecture; a Kaehler submanifold in a complex space form of constant holomorphic sectional curvature 1 is totally geodesic if ever its holomorphic sectional curvature is greater than 1 2 \frac {1}{2} .

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Holomorphic discs with dense images
We prove that for any complex manifold X, the set of all holomorphic maps from the unit disc to X whose images are everywhere dense in X forms a dense subset in the space of all holomorphic maps from the disc to X.

On Semi-Ryan Complex Submanifolds in an Indefinite Complex Space Form
Recently the present authors have given a complete classification of semisymmetric complex hypersurfaces, i.e. satisfying \(R(X,Y) \cdot R=0\), in a semidefinite complex space form \(M^m_1(c)\) [see the same journal, 31, 417-435 (2001)]. Now they give a complete classification of \(n\)-dimensional complete space-like complex submanifolds \(M ...

Correction to “The classification of the surfaces with parallel mean curvature vector in two-dimensional complex space forms” [PDF]
We give a condition under which the findings of the paper cited above work well and determine the surfaces that were not considered before. In this paper, we show that a parallel mean curvature surface of a general type in a complex two-dimensional ...

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Lagrangian submanifolds in complex space forms satisfying an improved equality involving $\delta(2,2)$ [PDF]
It was proved in [8,9] that every Lagrangian submanifold $M$ of a complex space form $\tilde M^{5}(4c)$ of constant holomorphic sectional curvature $4c$ satisfies the following optimal inequality: {align}\tag{A}\delta(2,2)\leq \text{\small${25}{4}$} H^{2}

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.
