Synthesis of Five-Bar Slider Mechanism with Variable Topology for Finitely Separated Positions

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2011
A method to synthesize a five-bar slider mechanism with variable topology is suggested. Synthesis is carried out in two phases for function generation. In Phase I, synthesis is carried out for three finitely separated positions.

Psychosocial Outcomes in Patients With Endocrine Tumor Syndromes: A Systematic Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction The combination of disease manifestations, the familial burden, and varying penetrance of endocrine tumor syndromes (ETSs) is unique. This review aimed to portray and summarize available data on psychosocial outcomes in patients with ETSs and explore gaps and opportunities for future research and care.

COMPLEX VARIABLE FUNCTION SOLUTIONS OF STRESS INTENSITY FACTORS FOR MULTIPLE HOLE-EDGE CRACKS

open access: yesJixie qiangdu, 2020
The acceleration effect in the process of collinear hole-edge cracks propagation of aircraft fuselage skin structure is mainly manifested by the interaction of stress intensity factors between multiple fatigue cracks. A modified approximate superposition

A mesoscale numerical approach to predict damage behavior in concrete basing on phase field method

open access: yesVietnam Journal of Mechanics, 2021
In this paper, we develop a numerical approach to simulate the 2D complex damage and fracture process of quasi-brittle concrete materials. Based on the phase field theory for the case of elastic isotropic multicomponent materials and the generation ...

Calculation of the Two-body T-matrix in Configuration Space

open access: yes, 2007
A spectral integral method (IEM) for solving the two-body Schroedinger equation in configuration space is generalized to the calculation of the corresponding T-matrix. It is found that the desirable features of the IEM, such as the economy of mesh-points

The MedSupport Multilevel Intervention to Enhance Support for Pediatric Medication Adherence: Development and Feasibility Testing

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction We developed MedSupport, a multilevel medication adherence intervention designed to address root barriers to medication adherence. This study sought to explore the feasibility and acceptability of the MedSupport intervention strategies to support a future full‐scale randomized controlled trial.

Inclusion methods for real and complex functions in one variable

open access: yes, 2023
A new method is discussed for obtaining a validated inclusion of a zero of a real or complex function in one variable. The method is given by means of a sufficient criterion which can be tested on a digital computer. The numeral results show that, compared to other methods, the new one frequently yields very narrow bounds for the solution.

Changes in Body Composition in Children and Young People Undergoing Treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Ongoing evidence indicates increased risk of sarcopenic obesity among children and young people (CYP) with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), often beginning early in treatment, persisting into survivorship. This review evaluates current literature on body composition in CYP with ALL during and after treatment.
