Clinical depression and attributional complexity

British Journal of Clinical Psychology, 1990
Recent research on attributional complexity with college student samples has indicated that mild and moderate depression are associated with increased attributional complexity but more severe depression may be related to decreased attributional complexity.

Attributional complexity: An individual differences measure.

Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, 1986
This article details the development of a scale that measures the complexity of attributional schemata for human behavior—the Attributional Complexity Scale. In Study 1, we administered the scale to 289 subjects. The results showed that the scale had adequate internal reliability and test-retest reliability.

Complex seismic trace attributes

The Leading Edge, 1988
Interpretation of seismic reflection records is a blend of quantitative science and visual art. An interpreter uses the rules of wave propagation, realistic limits on impedances of rocks and accepted principles of stratigraphic deposition and structural deformation to arrive at a geologic understanding of a seismic section. This application of science,

Depression and Attributional Complexity

Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, 1989
Recent research suggests that mildly and moderately depressed individuals are more sensitive to social information than the non depressed individuals are. The relationship between severity of depression and a measure relevant to this social sensitivity, attributional complexity, was examined. As predicted, a significant quadratic contrast indicated an

Attributional complexity and leadership

International Journal of Cross Cultural Management, 2015
Despite the importance of attributional complexity (AC) of managers in cross-cultural contexts, empirical tests of the relationship between AC and the degree to which managers make isomorphic (accurate) attributions are absent. This study provides a crucial contribution to the literature by focusing on the hitherto unexamined empirical link between AC ...

Complex Patterns in Dynamic Attributed Graphs

Proceedings of the 25th International Conference Companion on World Wide Web - WWW '16 Companion, 2016
In recent years, there has been huge growth in the amount of graph data generated from various sources. These types of data are often represented by vertices and edges in a graph with real-valued attributes, topological properties, and temporal information associated with the vertices.

Hiding distributed complexities: attribute based programming

1998 IEEE Information Technology Conference, Information Environment for the Future (Cat. No.98EX228), 2002
This paper advocates a strongly typed object oriented system to shield the programmer from the complexities of availability and reliability. This system is based on attributes, typed objects, protocol composition and subtyping. The object type is encapsulated in every method invocation. This allows the system to intercept these invocations and invoke a
