Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Proteasomal degradation of intracellularly expressed Amblyomin‐X limits suicide gene therapy potential in melanoma cells

This study explores the feasibility of expressing the antitumoral protein Amblyomin‐X through a suicide gene therapy approach and investigates its intracellular fate after gene delivery. Although the gene is efficiently expressed, melanoma cells rapidly degrade the Amblyomin‐X protein via proteasome activity.

Intravascular absorption syndrome : case report of a life-threatening complication during hysteroscopy [PDF]

A 40-year old, healthy woman underwent hysteroscopic endometrial ablation with a bipolar electrocautery using 0.9% saline as distension fluid. After 45 minutes of surgery, arterial oxygen saturation decreased and liquid was obstructing the laryngeal mask.
