Effect of enamel pretreatments on bond strength of compomer
Dental Materials, 2001The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of various enamel surface treatments on the bond strength of a compomer to enamel.Ground bovine enamel specimens were divided into four groups. A compomer (F2000, 3M) was bonded to the specimens using different enamel surface treatments.

Cytotoxic effects of extracts of compomers
Acta Odontologica Scandinavica, 1999We have studied the cytotoxicity of 10 commercially available compomers. Extracts were taken in cell culture medium of non-cured, freshly-cured, and aged samples. Murine L-929 fibroblasts were exposed to the extracts for 24 h and the cytotoxicity was evaluated using dimethylthiazol diphenyltetrazolium (MTT) assay and neutral red uptake (NRU).

Surface Antibacterial Properties of Compomers
European Archives of Paediatric Dentistry, 2006This was to evaluate the antibacterial properties of four different compomers, using direct contact test (DCT) and agar diffusion test (ADT). Compomers (Polyacid Modified Composite Resin) form a group of dental restorative materials which were developed in order to improve conventional glass-ionomer and are widely used by pediatric dentists in primary ...

Expansion behaviour of compomer restoratives
Biomaterials, 2001This study measured the dimensional changes due to hygroscopic expansion that occur in five commercially available compomer restorative materials using a computer-controlled laser micrometer. The materials tested were; [C] = Compoglass-F (Vivadent); [D] = Dyract AP (Dentsply DeTrey); [E] = Elan (Kerr); [F] = F2000 (3M); [H] = Hytac (Espe). Twelve discs
