The thermodynamics of homogeneous mixtures with components undergoing reaction

Theoretical and Experimental Chemistry, 1967
The general case is discussed for equilibrium, gaseous, or liquid systems with any number of components, substances, and chemical reactions. Equations are obtained which permit the conversion of masses and molar fractions, and integral and differential functions associated with quantities of substances, into the corresponding variables associated with ...

Thermodynamics of III–V solutions with n components

Journal of Physics and Chemistry of Solids, 1973
Abstract A method has been developed for the calculation of phase diagrams of III–V mixtures with more than three components. The equations for the chemical potentials, activity coefficients and the free energy of the mixture and for the liquidus- and iso-solidus-concentration lines are given.

The Thermodynamics of the Critical Point in One‐Component Systems

Berichte der Bunsengesellschaft für physikalische Chemie, 1972
AbstractThis review opens with a discussion of the classical description of critical points, and its extension. It is shown that the experimental results do not conform either to the original or to the extended description, although the latter has some features that are to be found both in real fluids and in model systems.
