Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

Composing Interaction

Proceedings of the Ninth International Conference on Tangible, Embedded, and Embodied Interaction, 2015
In this paper we discuss our recent research into notation systems for interaction design. Inspired by music notation-a standardized yet open system with which a composition (i.e., a musical design) can be communicated-we suspect that similar notation systems can be designed for interaction design.

Composing the ‘Woman’ Composer

Musicology Australia, 2011
There was a time, not so long ago, when the names of women composers were virtually unknown. Second-wave feminism in the 1970s marks a dynamic moment when this begins to change. A women’s music history is gradually assembled and establishes the fact that music composition is not solely a male domain.
