Surface properties of the ethanol/water mixture: Thickness and composition [PDF]
Ethanol is a common amphiphilic solvent often used in conjunction with water. However, despite its widespread use, key questions regarding the thickness and composition of molecules at the ethanol/water/air surface remain unclear. Recent thermodynamic analyses, Bagheri and co-authors (2016) and Santos and Reis (2018), indicated that the interfacial ...

Application of the Composite Fibers Based on Chitosan and Chitin Nanofibrils in Cosmetology
Chitosan and composite fibers containing chitin nanofibrils have been developed for use in cosmetology. The tensile strength of the chitosan multifilaments is 160.6 ± 19.0 MPa, and of the composite multifilaments containing chitin, nanofibrils are 198.0 ±

Stochastic analysis of variations of electromagnetic properties of composite mixtures
A stochastic collocation method is presented to evaluate the variations of homogenised electromagnetic properties of composite mixtures. The proposed method transforms the stochastic analysis into a number of deterministic simulations. A numerical example shows the effectiveness and efficiency of this technique compared with the Monte Carlo approach.
