A Perspective on Interactive Theorem Provers in Physics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Into an interactive theorem provers (ITPs), one can write mathematical definitions, theorems and proofs, and the correctness of those results is automatically checked. This perspective goes over the best usage of ITPs within physics and motivates the open‐source community run project PhysLean, the aim of which is to be a library for digitalized physics

Sterile neutrinos, black hole vacuum and holographic principle

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2021
We construct an effective field theory (EFT) model that describes matter field interactions with Schwarzschild mini-black-holes (SBH’s), treated as a scalar field, $$B_0(x)$$ B 0 ( x ) . Fermion interactions with SBH’s require a complex spurion field, $$\

Thermoelectric Processes of Quantum Normal‐Superconductor Interfaces

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, EarlyView.
Recent advances on using mesoscopic normal‐superconductor junctions for the thermoelectric effect is reviewed. A theoretical framework is presented for multiterminal configurations exploiting properties characterised by the interplay of the system reduced dimensionality and superconducting correlations.

Berry phase in the composite Fermi liquid

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2020
We derive the definition of the Berry phase for the adiabatic transport of a composite fermion (CF) in a half-filled composite Fermi liquid (CFL). It is found to be different from that adopted in previous investigations by Geraedts et al.

A Superalgebra Within: Representations of Lightest Standard Model Particles Form a Z25$\mathbb {Z}_2^5$‐Graded Algebra

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, EarlyView.
A set of particle representations, familiar from the Standard Model, collectively form a superalgebra. Those representations mirroring the behaviour of the Standard Model's gauge bosons, and three generations of fermions, are each included in this algebra, with exception only to those representations involving the top quark.

Harnessing the Power of 2D Materials for Flexible Energy Harvesting Applications

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Ambient energy harvesting offers transformative potential for sustainable energy solutions, with 2D materials emerging as a game‐changing platform due to their atomic‐scale thickness, tunable properties, and versatility. This review explores the mechanisms, advantages, and challenges of 2D material–based energy harvesting technologies, emphasizing ...

Sp (4) gauge theories on the lattice: N f = 2 dynamical fundamental fermions

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We perform lattice studies of the gauge theory with Sp(4) gauge group and two flavours of (Dirac) fundamental matter. The global SU(4) symmetry is spontaneously broken by the fermion condensate.

Dark matter in (partially) composite Higgs models

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We construct composite and partially composite Higgs models with complex pseudo-Nambu-Goldstone (pNGB) dark matter states from four-dimensional gauge-Yukawa theories with strongly interacting fermions.

Dimer models and conformal structures

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
Abstract Dimer models have been the focus of intense research efforts over the last years. Our paper grew out of an effort to develop new methods to study minimizers or the asymptotic height functions of general dimer models and the geometry of their frozen boundaries.

Massless fermions and superconductivity of string-wall composites

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
An axion cosmic string is known to be a chiral superconductor when the axion couples to an electrically charged fermion. After the QCD phase transition, a QCD axion string is attached by N domain walls.
