Sp (4) gauge theories on the lattice: N f = 2 dynamical fundamental fermions

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We perform lattice studies of the gauge theory with Sp(4) gauge group and two flavours of (Dirac) fundamental matter. The global SU(4) symmetry is spontaneously broken by the fermion condensate.

Fermionic composite models from complementarity

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1982
Abstract Composite models for (in principle massless) quarks and leptons without fundamental scalars are constructed with the aim of providing for fermionic realizations of models which include elementary bosons (by Abbott and Farhi, Casalbuoni and Gatto and Barbieri, Mohapatra and Masiero). The models use one confining unitary (subcolor) group (with

Unveiling Hidden Features of Strongly Correlated Quantum Systems Through a Complex‐Network Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, EarlyView.
By applying complex network theory, we report a fundamental and previously unobserved phenomenon in the finite‐size Kitaev model: a singular point at which uniform, nonzero entanglement emerges among all fermion pairs, forming a complete entanglement network.

Massless fermions and superconductivity of string-wall composites

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
An axion cosmic string is known to be a chiral superconductor when the axion couples to an electrically charged fermion. After the QCD phase transition, a QCD axion string is attached by N domain walls.

Noncommutativity Parameter and Composite Fermions [PDF]

open access: yesModern Physics Letters A, 2003
We determine some particular values of the noncommutativity parameter θ and show that the Murthy–Shankar approach is in fact a particular case of a more general one. Indeed, using the fractional quantum Hall effect (FQHE) experimental data, we give a measurement of θ.

The Smearing of Quasi‐Particles: Signatures in the Entanglement Entropy of Excited Many‐Particle Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, EarlyView.
Entanglement reveals hidden structure in quantum matter. We explore how quasi‐particles shape the crossover from area‐law to volume‐law entanglement, using models from spinless fermions to SYK. Our results show a striking linear growth of entanglement with energy, explained as a hallmark of quasi‐particles, offering new insight into the entanglement ...

Uncovering Exotic Topological Quantum States in Pure and Magnetically‐Doped Pyrite OsS2

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, EarlyView.
Pyrite‐structured OsS2 is identified as a fragile topological insulator with an unprecedented 602 meV bandgap, featuring helical surface states and van Hove singularities amenable to ARPES verification. Magnetic doping with Pd, Fe, Ni, or Co induces phase transitions to strong topological insulators, semimetals, 3D quantum anomalous Hall insulators ...

From Moral Supervenience to Moral Contingentism (In One Easy Step!)

open access: yesAnalytic Philosophy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT According to the Divide & Conquer (DC) strategy (Fogal and Risberg 2020) for explaining moral supervenience, the modal covariation between moral and natural properties can be partly explained by appeal to pure moral principles. Bhogal (2022) has recently argued that DC fails.

Synthesis and Electronic Structure of the Fractionally Occupied Double Perovskite EuTa2O6 with Ordered Europium Vacancies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 10, 2 February 2026.
Two‐dimensional electronic states are the foundation of modern semiconductor technology. Here, we report molecular‐beam epitaxy growth of fractional double perovskite, EuTa2O6. Reciprocal space mapping and transmission electron microscopy confirm a layered ordering of A‐site cations.

Dimer models and conformal structures

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, Volume 79, Issue 2, Page 340-446, February 2026.
Abstract Dimer models have been the focus of intense research efforts over the last years. Our paper grew out of an effort to develop new methods to study minimizers or the asymptotic height functions of general dimer models and the geometry of their frozen boundaries.
