Working behaviour feedback of composite geomembranes based on seepage monitoring data
Geosynthetics International, 2021To assess the durability of the impermeability of composite geomembranes in hydraulic engineering projects, using nearly 20 years (2000–2018) of seepage monitoring data from the Wangfuzhou Hydraulic Engineering Project, this study conducts feedback analysis on the anti-seepage performance of the composite geomembranes of this project.

Analytical model for anisotropic geomembrane composites
Geotextiles and Geomembranes, 1990Abstract This paper presents a study of the mechanical behaviour of composite geomembranes obtained by associating a fabric and a coating. The stress-strain diagrams in a two-dimensional state of stress are obtained with the aid of a mechanical model of the composite, taking into account the influence of the coating layer by means of a computer ...

Failure mechanisms of geosynthetic clay liner and textured geomembrane composite systems
Geotextiles and Geomembranes, 2021Abstract The objective of this study was to evaluate shear behavior and failure mechanisms of composite systems comprised of a geosynthetic clay liner (GCL) and textured geomembrane (GMX). Internal and interface direct shear tests were performed at normal stresses ranging from 100 kPa to 2000 kPa on eight different GCL/GMX composite systems.

Modified Geomembrane Compositions for Hydraulic Structure Impervious Coatings
Solid State Phenomena, 2017The article reviews the results of studying modified geomembrane compositions for impervious surfaces, including polymeric geomembrane of fresh raw materials and geomembrane of recycled materials reinforced with protective “Dornit” type geotextile to prevent damage.

Geomembrane-clay composite liners
Geotextiles and Geomembranes, 1991Abstract A successful 1·22 m wide HDPE/Bentonite composite liner widely used in the waterproofing industry is now available as a 5·33 m wide geomembrane. Properties and potential applications are discussed.

Simulation of the tearing behaviour of anisotropic geomembrane composites
Geotextiles and Geomembranes, 1993Abstract This paper presents the results of experimental and theoretical studies of the tearing of geomembrane composites on textile base. A simple numerical model is suggested, which is obtained on the basis of a uniaxial state of stress. The influence of the mechanical parameters of the fabric, of the rubberizing coating, and of the state of stress
