Novel composite material polyoxovanadate@MIL-101(Cr): a highly efficient electrocatalyst for ascorbic acid oxidation.

ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, 2013
A novel hybrid composite material, PMo10V2@MIL-101 was prepared by the encapsulation of the tetra-butylammonium (TBA) salt of the vanadium-substituted phosphomolybdate [PMo10V2O40](5-) (PMo10V2) into the porous metal-organic framework (MOF) MIL-101(Cr ...

Composite materials

2018
This chapter presents the composite materials applied to water current turbine (WCT) hydrokinetic turbines. Here will be briefly described the features of these turbines, the fluid-dynamic behavior of the rotor, and its structure formed into a composite material.

Composite Materials

2006
Publisher Summary This chapter discusses composite materials. Composite materials are material systems that consist of a discrete constituent distributed in a continuous phase and that derive their distinguishing characteristics from the properties and behavior of their constituents, from the geometry and arrangement of the constituents, and from the ...

Simple Label-Free Femtomolar DNA Detection Based on a Nanostructure Composite Material: MWNT-Doped Poly(indole-6-carboxylic acid).

ACS Macro Letters, 2012
A nanostructure composite material consisting of poly(indole-6-carboxylic acid) (PICA) and carboxylic groups ended multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) was directly electrosynthesized from indole-6-carboxylic acid (ICA) monomer and MWNTs in one step, in ...

Catalytic transformation of persistent contaminants using a new composite material based on nanosized zero-valent iron.

ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, 2012
A new composite material based on deposition of nanosized zerovalent iron (nZVI) particles and cyanocobalamine (vitamin B12) on a diatomite matrix is presented, for catalytic transformation of organic contaminants in water. Cyanocobalamine is known to be

Dodecyl sulfate-induced fast faradic process in nickel cobalt oxide–reduced graphite oxide composite material and its application for asymmetric supercapacitor device

, 2012
In this contribution, we report a facile preparation method of nickel cobalt oxide–reduced graphite oxide (NiCo2O4–rGO) composite material. A fast Faradic process has been realized by sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS)-induced ultrasmall NiCo2O4 nanocrystals ...

Facile synthesis and lithium storage properties of a porous NiSi2/Si/carbon composite anode material for lithium-ion batteries.

ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, 2015
In this work, a novel, porous structured NiSi2/Si composite material with a core-shell morphology was successfully prepared using a facile ball-milling method. Furthermore, the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method is deployed to coat the NiSi2/Si phase

Relaxation phenomenon in composite materials

The European Physical Journal Applied Physics, 1998
Dielectric measurement characteristics such as the dissipation factor, relative permittivity and conductivity as a function of temperature and frequency have been achieved on composite materials based on different epoxy resins filled with alumina inclusions. The analysis of the results show the presence of porosity and inhomogeneity in these materials.
