Measuring Multipartite Concurrence with a Single Factorizable Observable [PDF]
We show that, for any composite system with an arbitrary number of finite-dimensional subsystems, it is possible to directly measure the multipartite concurrence of pure states by detecting only one single factorizable observable, provided that two ...

Adaptive Speaker Recognition Based on Hidden Markov Model Parameter Optimization
The Hidden Markov Model (HMM) is a widely used method for speaker recognition. During its training, the composite order of the measurement probability matrix and the number of re-evaluations of the initial model affect the speed and accuracy of a ...

Nickel-Phosphorus (Ni-P) composite coatings were prepared on a poplar veneer surface via a simple electroless nickel (Ni) approach. The substrate deformation, flatness, crystalline structure, and wear resistance of the Ni-P composite coatings were ...

BICEP2 constrains Composite Inflation [PDF]
In light of BICEP2, we reexamine single field inflationary models in which the inflaton is a composite state stemming from various four-dimensional strongly coupled theories. We study in the Einstein frame a set of cosmological parameters, the primordial

The main result of this thesis is to show that there are only finitely many integers $n$ such that both $n$ and $d(n)$ are highly composite numbers at the same time, where $d(n)$ is the divisor function. Bertrand's postulate [4] is used many times throughout the thesis and allows us to write a proof that is as simple (and as short) as possible.

Large N Expansion for Strongly-coupled Boson-Fermion Mixtures [PDF]
We study a many-body mixture of an equal number of bosons and two-component fermions with a strong contact attraction. In this system bosons and fermions can be paired into composite fermions.

Maximum occupation number for composite boson states
One of the major differences between fermions and bosons is that fermionic states have a maximum occupation number of one, whereas the occupation number for bosonic states is in principle unlimited.
