COMPOSITIONAL EFFECTS ON SURFACTANTFLOOD OPTIMIZATION
Proceedings of SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition, 1979Abstract This paper presents results of phase behavior studies and oil displacement tests conducted in Berea sandstone cores which show that surfactant flood system based on optimal salinity design displace oil with different efficiencies.

Optimization of Hybrid Composite Properties
Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, 1990Hybrid composites have been a popular class of a wear‐resistant posterior composite restorative material. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of hybridization on the physical properties of a composite with different amounts of submicron silica (0.04 μrn) with semiporous strontium glass (1.4 μm ave. by number/5 μm ave.

Optimality conditions in mathematical programming and composite optimization
Mathematical Programming, 1994In a very clear manner and with all important proofs new second-order necessary optimality conditions are derived for the problems \(({\mathcal M})\): \(j(x)\to \inf\), s.t. \(x\in B\cap k^{- 1}(C)\), and \(({\mathcal C})\): \(f(x):= g(h(x))\to \inf\), s.t.

Interactive Composition of Compiler Optimizations
2016Conventional compilers provide limited external control over the optimizations they automatically apply to attain high performance. Consequently, these optimizations have become increasingly ineffective due to the difficulty of understanding the higher-level semantics of the user applications.

Interpolatory integration formulas for optimal composition
ACM Transactions on Mathematical Software, 1991A set of symmetric, closed, interpolatory integration formulas on the interval [-1, 1] with positive weights and increasing degree of precision is introduced. These formulas, called recursive monotone stable (RMS) formulas, allow applying higher order or compound rules without wasting previously computed functional values.

Formation of optimal composite populations
Theoretical and Applied Genetics, 1987The optimal breed composition of a composite population is derived from straightbred and average heterotic effects. It is demonstrated that there is a unique breed composition which maximizes a bioeconomic objective for a composite of m breeds. A forward stepwise approach for determination of the number of breeds to include in the composite population ...
