An overview on properties, thermal decomposition, and combustion behavior of ADN and ADN based solid propellants

open access: yesDefence Technology, 2018
Ammonium dinitramide [NH4N(NO2)2, ADN] is considered as a possible replacement for ammonium perchlorate (AP) in nearly all kind of solid rocket propulsions in the coming future. The reason to use ADN instead of AP in solid rocket propulsion is because of

Impact of Environmental Exposure on Infant Sleep : The Exposome Approach

open access: yesJournal of Sleep Research, EarlyView.
This review explores how exposure to environmental pollutants during the first 1000 days of life may affect infant sleep. Evidence suggests potential links between chemical exposures and sleep disturbances, underscoring the need for more research on early‐life vulnerability and the impact of pollutants in air, diet, and breast milk.

Performance of advanced composite solid rocket propellants based on novel oxidizers

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2019
Abstract Three novel high energy dense oxidizers (HEDO), Bis(2,2,2-trinitroethyl)oxalate (BTNEOx), 2,2,2-Trinitroethyl-nitrocarbamate (TNENC), 2,2,2-Trinitroethyl-formate (TNEF) have been prepared and studied as oxidizers in composite solid rocket propellants (CSRPs).

Do deepfakes, digital replicas and human digital twins justify personality rights?

open access: yesThe Journal of World Intellectual Property, EarlyView.
Abstract Unauthorised deepfakes are deeply problematic, from the spreading of misinformation to non‐consensual pornographic content. This paper asks whether deepfakes, digital replicas and human digital twins justify personality rights. To address this question, it examines the harms that deepfakes can cause through disinformation, demeaning content ...

Terrestrial Analogs to Titan for Geophysical Research

open access: yesReviews of Geophysics, Volume 64, Issue 2, June 2026.
Abstract Saturn's moon Titan exhibits remarkable parallels to the Earth in many geophysical and geological processes not found elsewhere in the solar system at the present day. These include a nitrogen atmosphere with a condensible gas—methane—replacing the Earth's water, leading to an active meteorology with rainfall and surface manifestations ...

Detection of Perchlorate in Swabs Using Linear Sweep Voltammetry at a Liquid–Liquid Microinterface Array

open access: yesAnalysis &Sensing, Volume 6, Issue 3, May 2026.
Perchlorate is a potential environmental contaminant and ease of its detection is needed to support environmental monitoring. Current detection methods mainly involve chromatographic and mass spectrometric methods, which have limitations in terms of portability and cost.

Synergistic Engineering of Local Coordination and Electronic Modulation by CoSx Nanoparticles Dictates the Oxygen Reduction Pathway of Cobalt Single‐Atom Catalysts in Acidic Media

open access: yesCarbon Neutralization, Volume 5, Issue 3, May 2026.
An electron structure modulation engineering strategy is developed by tuning the first coordination shell and leveraging synergistic effects with adjacent nanoparticles of Co single atoms. The CoS@Co–N2S2 catalyst achieves an average H2O2 selectivity of 88% (0.3–0.55 V), whereas CoS2@Co–NS3 exhibits 52% 4e− selectivity.

Shock‐Assisted Flow Control System in Convergent‐Divergent Nozzle: A Numerical Study on Unconventional Protuberance With Different Geometry

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 5, May 2026.
A numerical investigation using 3D RANS simulations demonstrates significant effects of protuberance geometry—cubic, cylindrical, spherical, and conical—on shock‐induced thrust vectoring in supersonic nozzles. Cubic protuberances provide the maximum jet deflection (˜2°) with negligible thrust reduction.
