BENDING AND SHEAR BEHAVIOR OF HISTORIC WALLS STRENGTHENED WITH COMPOSITE REINFORCED MORTAR [PDF]
Composite reinforced mortar (CRM) is a relatively new solution for the strengthening of existing masonry members that comprises fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) grids reinforcing inorganic mortar overlays. CRMs were proven to be effective in strengthening masonry members against in- and out-of-plane loads.

HYBRID SHEARWALL SYSTEM — SHEAR STRENGTH AT THE INTERFACE CONNECTION [PDF]
Based on a series of alternating, displacement-controlled load tests on ten one-third scale models, to study the behaviour of the interface of a hybrid shear wall system, it was proved that the concept of hybrid construction in earthquake prone regions ...

Predicting the shear capacity of composite steel plate shear wall with the application of RSM
This research aims to predict the maximum shear capacity of Composite Steel Plate Shear Walls (CSPSWs) through nonlinear Finite Element (NLFE) analyses and Response Surface Method (RSM). The variables are concrete thickness and compressive strength, steel infill plate thickness, and yield stress.

Reinforced composite masonry shear walls
The results of testing six brick-to-block reinforced composite masonry panels subjected to gravity and in-plane shear loads are dis cussed herein. Each wall contained two wythes with a nominal 2-inch collar joint. In the first 5 walls, this joint was grouted and rein forced with either welded wire fabric or vertical and horizontal bars.

Experimental study on seismic behaviour of an innovative composite shear wall
Abstract To improve the strength and ductility of the core walls in high-rise buildings which would be subjected to combined high axial compressive force and bending moment during the earthquake, an innovative concrete filled double-skin steel-plate composite (CFDSC) wall is proposed.
