Shear-resistant behavior of light composite shear wall

Journal of Central South University, 2015
Shear test results for a composite wall panel in a light composite structure system are compared with test results for shear walls in Japan. The analysis results show that this kind of composite wall panel works very well, and can be regarded as a solid panel.

The wall–frame and the steel–concrete interactions in composite shear walls

Structural Design of Tall and Special Buildings, 2018
SummaryThe nonlinear pushover analyses of 24 composite steel plate shear walls (CSPSWs), 24 corresponding steel plate shear walls (SPSWs), and 24 corresponding frames are conducted. CSPSWs have different aspect ratios and infill steel plate thicknesses. The study aims to understand the wall–frame and steel–concrete interactions.

The Wall–Frame Interaction in Composite FRP-Steel Plate Shear Walls

Iranian Journal of Science and Technology, Transactions of Civil Engineering, 2021
This paper investigated the interactive behaviors of infill walls and frames in steel plate shear wall (SPSW) systems reinforced by fiber-reinforced polymers (FRPs), using the finite element method. The effects of the system aspect ratio/height as well as the fiber type/orientation/content are also considered in the study.

Performance Evaluation of Composite Shear Wall

2020
Shear wall systems are one of the most commonly used lateral load resisting systems in high-rise buildings. Composite shear walls are a combination of steel and concrete sections, which unites the advantages of steel and concrete shear wall systems. The encased composite shear wall system studied here consists of stiffened steel sheets, shear studs ...

Experimental investigation of composite shear walls under shear loadings

Thin-Walled Structures, 2011
Abstract One of the efficient methods for improving the seismic behaviour of high-rise buildings is using Composite Steel Plate Shear Wall (CSPSW). In this paper, extensive experimental studies of one and three-story CSPSWs with the scale of 1:3 and 1:4, together with stress equations of each element are reported.

Shear Capacity of Multiple Eco-Composite Wall

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012
Multiple eco-composite wall is one of the most commonly used lateral-load resisting member in eco-composite wall structure. The main influencing factors of shear capacity for the wall are analyzed. Based on this, the shear capacity formula of multiple eco-composite wall is put forward and the application scope of the formula is discussed.

Investigating Composite Shear Wall Behavior

2017
—The Composite Shear Walls (CSW) with steel encased profiles can be used as lateral-load resisting systems for buildings that require considerable large lateral-load capacity. The aim of this work is to propose the experimental work conducted on CSW having L section folded plate (L shape steel made-up sections) as longitudinal reinforcement in boundary

Experimental study on shear performance of composite cold-formed ultra-thin-walled steel shear wall

Journal of Constructional Steel Research, 2020
Abstract Cold-formed ultra-thin-walled steel shear wall shows excellent performance. The house constructed using the cold-formed ultra-steel shear wall is composed of continuous single-layer walls, including the floor joints between wall segments. The wall is coordinated to deform through floor joints and the weak part is located at the floor joints.
