Shear Coefficient in Orthotropic Thin-Walled Composite Beams
Journal of Composites for Construction, 1998The shear coefficient in Timoshenko beam theory is derived for thin-walled beams constructed of orthotropic laminated composite panels and new formulas for the common forms of thin-walled section are presented. The results are identical to Cowper's for the case of isotropic beams.

Investigation of shear wall behavior with composite boundary elements
2008Composite construction in steel and concrete offers significant advantages for use as the primary lateral resistance system in building structures subjected to seismic loading. While composite beam and joist floor system have been common for over a half a century, through the use of over the past decade a substantial amount of researches have been ...

Behavior of steel–concrete composite bolted connector in precast reinforced concrete shear wall
Advances in Structural Engineering, 2019An assembling method of precast shear walls was previously proposed using steel–concrete composite bolted connectors. To further investigate the effectiveness and mechanical behavior of the proposed composite connector, 11 specimens were fabricated and ...

Test of a Steel Plate Shear Wall with Partially Encased Composite Columns and RBS Frame Connections
, 2018A large-scale steel plate shear wall with partially encased composite (PEC) columns and reduced beam section (RBS) frame connections was tested at the University of Alberta to investigate t...

Static and dynamic analysis of composite shear walls by the boundary element method
Acta Mechanica, 1987A boundary element solution for the static and dynamic analysis of composite shear walls is developed. The composite shear wall consists of a matrix material surrounding a finite number of inclusions (in-fill walls) with different elastic constants firmly bonded to it.
