Ambient‐Spray Ni–Cu(–O)/Ag Nanowire Transparent Heaters for High‐Temperature Heating and Far‐/Near‐Field EMI Suppression

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A vacuum‐free, ambient‐spray Ni–Cu(–O)/Ag nanowire transparent‐heater platform is realized via conformal junction‐shell engineering and silica–hybrid overcoating, enabling robust high‐temperature heating together with GHz‐band far‐field EMI shielding and near‐field magnetic‐noise attenuation.

Mitigating the Bridge End Bump Problem: A Case Study of a New Slab System with a Lower Partition Slab-Pile Foundation

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2020
This paper describes a case of using a pile-slab composite foundation to handle a bridge-end bump problem. Conventionally, a deep-seated concrete slab method is employed to tackle this problem; however, this method generates a large stress concentration ...

Imide Substitution Drives the Supramolecular Assembly of Perylene Diimide Into Laterally Modulated Metallic/Semiconducting Molecular Patterns

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Imide substitution with bulky 2,6‐isopropylphenyl groups induces perylene diimide to self‐assemble on Ag(111) into a monolayer with two coexisting adsorption heights. Molecules closer to the substrate gain metallic character due to charge transfer from the metal, while farther ones remain decoupled and semiconducting.

Experimental Study on Flexural Behaviour of Lightweight Multi-Ribbed Composite Slabs

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2019
To develop new slabs with light weight and high rigidity as well as meet the requirements of use and facilitate construction, a large-span multi-ribbed composite slab (R-CS) with filled lightweight blocks is proposed based on systematic research.

Collagen‐Based Gut‐on‐Chip for In Vitro Modeling of Intestinal Barrier Function and Host‐Pathogen Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A collagen‐based gut‐on‐chip model replicates the intestinal extracellular matrix, supporting villi‐like structures, tight junctions, and mucin production. This biomimetic platform enables rapid epithelial differentiation and functional barrier formation.

Study on the Mechanical Behavior of Top-Chord-Free Vierendeel-Truss Composite Slabs

open access: yesBuildings
A top-chord-free Vierendeel-truss composite slab (TVCS) comprises a concrete slab, several vertical webs, and a steel bottom chord. In this study, static tests and finite element analyses were conducted based on an actual project to investigate the ...

Omnidirectional Ultra‐Broadband Cu/TiO2 Metasurface Absorbers for High‐Efficiency Solar Thermal Conversion and Photothermal Plasmon‐Driven Catalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Metasurface shows selective solar–thermal energy conversion with high‐activity solar/laser‐driven chemistry. The breakthrough is co‐designing broadband FP‐cavity + plasmonic LSPR/SLR resonances in an ultra‐thin metamaterial so that it not only harvests the most efficient proportion of solar radiation but also suppresses mid and IR emissivity. Moreover,
