Improved Single Sector Supersymmetry Breaking [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Building on recent work by N. Arkani-Hamed and the present authors, we construct realistic models that break supersymmetry dynamically and give rise to composite quarks and leptons, all in a single strongly-coupled sector.

Addressing six standard model problems with Technically Natural Higgs models

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We aim to study the potential of the recently proposed model framework, called Technically Natural Higgs (TNH), in addressing six fundamental problems in particle physics and cosmology.

Search for a heavy composite Majorana neutrino in events with dilepton signatures from proton-proton collisions at s=13 TeV

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2023
Results are presented of a search for a heavy Majorana neutrino Image 1 decaying into two same-flavor leptons ℓ (electrons or muons) and a quark-pair jet. A model is considered in which the Image 1 is an excited neutrino in a compositeness scenario.

The global Higgs as a signal for compositeness at the LHC [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
A bstractThe radial excitation of the global symmetry-breaking vacuum in composite Higgs models, called the “global Higgs”, has been recently a focus of investigation. In this paper we study the prospects for detecting this composite scalar at the 13 TeV

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Sigma-assisted low scale composite Goldstone–Higgs

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2020
We show that the presence of a lightish scalar resonance, $$\sigma $$ σ , that mixes with the composite Goldstone–Higgs boson can relax the typical bounds found in this class of models.

$\Lambda_c(2595)$ resonance as a dynamically generated state: The compositeness condition and the large $N_c$ evolution [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Recent studies have shown that the well-established Lambda(c) (2595) resonance contains a large meson-baryon component, which can vary depending on the specific formalism.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Top Theories [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
As the most recently discovered and heaviest quark, the top presents us with theoretical challenges. How are we to understand its properties within the larger effort to explain the origins of electroweak and flavor symmetry breaking ? This talk discusses

Pole structure and compositeness

open access: yes, 2017
We present in this talk a series of new results on the nature of a bound state or resonance based on the calculation of the expectation values of the number operators of the free particles in the state of interest.
